To cut down on the bleeding: after engraving, with the mask still on, either spray with clear spray paint or paint a thin coat of mod podge, let dry and then paint. It gives you a clear barrier that when you paint, it won’t bleed.

Unfortunately no, you need a more powerful IR laser like the 20w that’s on the Ultra. A blue diode won’t work for that
