My daughter is 4 and rips on her 12” so we picked her up an aggressive little trek 16” that she fell in love with. Hoping to get her out on trails soon and hoping she picks a DJ or something for her next bike haha!

Yoo. I have also 5y older and he rides like crazy... i think its not about that any kid is super talented etc, but its rather about parents who spend their time to lead the kid and maintain their hype. Plus give them proper equipment. I recommend Helion X 20", good investment

Well, we are a MTBiker family in Tyrol/Austria and have 9 year twin boys. We started with EarlyRider Classic balance bikes when they have been 1,5yrs old. Then Belter 16 where I swapped tyres to Schwalbe MTB tyres (don't remember which one), so we started to hit local trails. The next step so then have been Belter 20 Trail which I upgraded with Hope components. With them we hit way rougher trails and started to ride in bike park Serfaus-Fiss-Ladis - age 6. And since march 2019 we bought them Propain Yuma 24" enduro ones where we were able to ride rough trails (of course) in our high Alpine region but lots of bike parks even harder lines in Sölden, Serfaus-Fiss-Ladis, Paganella and Leogang. In the last one they made a downhill course with a guide because I was on my limit of enduro knowledge 😂 This summer I changed the front wheel to 26" (Mullet config) because Propain does offer a 26" Kit for the bikes. And next summer I believe to upgrade rear too. So there will be 2 upcoming sommers with that bikes and then they need new ones: Propain Tyee, Specialized Status, Trek Slash,... 🤔 We will see... But at the moment I have to ride hard to keep up with them 🙈😂 They hit bigger drops, doubles, jumps and some black lines with ease 💪👍 Brutal, with 9 years 🙈 So keep up riding with your son! It is a great father-son-thing 💪👍 PS: sorry forgot to say - mom is with us (riding lines on here own MTB!) everywhere in parks and on trails which I appreciate the most 😘

Thank you! That sounds like a path we are on:) He's growing into his 20" bike (still only 114cm tall), but I do have bikes chosen for him for the next 5 years:D I also try to push him out of his comfort zone regularly, so he gets used to bigger rocks and roots too. Unfortunately, we don't have that many and that big hills here, as you do in Austria, so we have to travel more for those. Thumbs up for mum riding with you too! Hopefully we'll get ours with us one day too:)

@@peterpechmtb Perfect! My son is 110+ and we are replacing the Seeker 14 with a bigger bike. I was afraid that Hellum 20 would be too big for him, but I think it will work!
