5 Year Ownership Review 2017 Mustang GT

By the way viewers! I meant to say from discount tire i got the lug nuts from and tires rotated and balanced. Not Autozone! Just couple little things I thought to point out in my car after owning it for 5 years now. If you guys have any questions drop them down in the comments! Thanks for watching guys!

The only two worthwhile complaints are the front bumper clips and the lugnuts. I'll watch-out for the clip problem. As for the lugnuts, Ford has a very high torque spec for them; 150 lb-ft. Yikes! I wonder if ARP makes high tensile strength lugnuts because that is a lot of torque!

I agree! The torque specs are very high and yes the factory lug nuts are 💩

So the main reason the ford lugs are ass Is because they have an aluminum cap over a steel lug nut that swells up over time and makes it to where a 21mm socket won’t fit over it. You can fine 1 piece lugs at discount tire and online to save yourself some grief

you don't have to torque it to 150 haha nobody does in fact... torque it to 120, 130 if you wanna be safe, but even pickup don't torque them to 150

Thank God mine are staged tire set up with the PP... 275 back and 255 fronts but I will be going to a 275 front and 305 on the back eventually.. But Mod's for these cars are Not Cheap, So it will be little by little for me...

My only con is the paint is crap. Mine chips and has so many imperfections. I baby it and it takes stone chips like it has a magnet and I’ve only got 6000 miles on it. Yup that’s it. Other then that I love it.

How is it when it comes to overall practicality? Also is it true they can run 87 octane? I would normally run 89 or 91 but it's nice to know I can if I need to in a slight money pinch. I've been stuck between it and a Charger RT (charger obviously for space reasons)

I’m biased so of course I’d tell you hell yeh but I will say, if it’s a 6R80 transmission (Automatic) like my car just be aware of it in the future and take care of it, if it’s a manual MT-82 transmission you should be fine! Overall I love 15-17 model mustangs, been driving mine everyday for the pasts 6 years

If you drive like a mad man the MT-82 Is a bad option you'lleventually end up blowing it up. Try replacing it with Tremec TR-3160 AND DEFINITELY you will feel changes specially in how smooth the shifts are. I did that with my 2017 GT

I wouldn't say problematic but with every automatic transmission there will always be some flaws, I've seen plenty of people that are fine with the 6R80 but that's IF you take care of it like anything else. But at the end these cars meant to be driven the way they are and it's all about how you drive and care of it 👍 @@luisalmendarez1606

Thank you! Won’t lie to you, the way I drive it’s not horrible stock but if I drive normal with everything I got on it right now, it gets like 15/20 mpg average in city and 25/28 on highway with my FBO/tune, it just varies from how I drive but that’s average for me. Stock it gets like 20-21 in city and 30 on highway

Beautiful car, but on the back up camera thing: you paid for it so it doesn’t make sense not to get it fixed, to me it’s not about needing it, it’s part of the package you paid for, just wasting money not having it working

Hey great vid man, i was thinking of getting a 2016 mustang premium tht has 71,000 miles. $27000 Is tht to go for or should i aim for less mileage

My advice is maybe try looking around little more and see if you can get lucky on lower miles but I will say the longer you wait the harder it’ll be to find one that does have the mileage you’ll like! So if your settled on wanting one just make sure the previous owner took care of it and the price is reasonable 👍

@@TKGxCOD I’d say around that price range from $25k-35K, a lot of people sell there mustangs on average with like 50,000 miles to about 70,000 now a days, anything less then that are most likely salvage title or rebuilt
