My daughter got to chose a car- she picked a Mustang, bright color, V8 & stick. Went to order it via a friend's dealership and he was like, " Hey, I can get her a GT350 from Ford out of Michigan cheaper than the GT order you want to place. Only has a tick over 2K miles..." So she got a triple yellow tri-coat GT350

@@MustaliS550 it's a GT350, while not as low as the 526 hp Ford claimed (it apparently is closer to 600), not 750 hp. She is going to driving school post-graduation and USAF commission ceremony. I daily the shit out of 16 gt premium 6-speed and put 25k miles last year alone and plan on doing more this year! I average 13-15mpg because I drive the living shit out of it every day. It hits the rev limiter every time I drive it. I’m not saving this car for the next guy. It’s been the most reliable / best vehicle I have ever owned. It takes a beating but always wants more. Just keep up with the oil changes “which I do my self because ford has not and will not touch this car while I own” and basic maintenance and it will treat you good! Only complain is the shit pos leather ford uses in all there cars. Mine tore at 12k miles.. love the heated and cool part though. Just hate fords decision to use the cheapest shit they can get there hands on. Just going to have the seats redone with real leather and way better foam. It feels like I’m sitting on a board now and on long drives my ass hurts. Nothing is as comfortable as my 2000 svt lightning seats. Son of a bitch will almost put me to sleep on road trips and puts my fiancé to sleep every time she’s in it 😂💯

Clancy O being I’ve daily mine now for over a year and a half and haven’t had a single issue I say hell yes go for it. The only thing that has happened to the car is that the driver side valve cover came loose and I looked it up and its a real common problem on the 5.0. From factory they don’t tighten them down neighbor and they back out and start leaking a little oil on the exhaust manifold. I had two bolts completely backed out and 3 more than half way backed out. But other then that the car has been great! I keep racking up the miles and keep driving the piss out of it! Best daily I’ve ever had personally

Great review. For the price point of a Base GT it’s hard to argue how satisfying the car is. I also have a 17 GT. Stock except for the MBRP Street Cat Back. A little over 2 years old. Mine is not a DD but I have just over 11,000 miles and it’s been excellent and while I don’t always beat the crap out of it, it definitely gets pushed every time I drive it. Thank you for mentioning MPG. I hate when anyone says they didn’t buy a truck or Sports car for MPG. I didn’t either but I can definitely appeerciate good engineering. My average is closer to 18 but I have taken it on 2 rd trips and averaged the EPA 25 MPG. I was very happy with that. That’s hand calculated. My computer showed 27mpg.

I have the same car - Coyote with 6-speed. Best highway trip mileage I ever got was 31 mpg. I got it - by coasting down every grade - accel very lightly - using and watching a vacuum gauge - , never rev above 2000 rpm - drive at or below 60 mph . Getting around 28 mpg is a lot easier. But since usually I prefer "fun", the mileage can easily sink to 13-14 mpg around town.

I have a 2017 in shadow black (with the blue flake) GT performance pack, premium. Got it right off the truck in october 2016. I also had a 2014 GT in gloss black... 27k miles later and I absolutely love the 17, I've contemplated trading it in for a C7 or some other cars, but always come to the conclusion that I love my car too much and want to keep it for good. Also, my exhaust is custom, resonator and muffler delete with x pipe in place of the stock h pipe
@jeepsjeeps5 жыл бұрын
How's that exhaust setup sound? How raspy? And any drone? I currently have an x pipe resonator delete on my 17 GT but with the stock mufflers, and it's not loud enough for my liking. In my garage I have another catback setup I bought off a guy, it's a fully welded system all one piece, with a custom x pipe but with muffler deletes. Guessing it's comparable to your setup so I was curious as to your thoughts...cheers.
@jeepsjeeps5 жыл бұрын
@@2iBMX Awesome, great to know I appreciate it. TBH I love listening to the sound of my exhaust to the point I often ride without the radio on, lol, so unless the drone is like ridiculous I don't even think I would mind it. I have an S197 too, with just some Borla ATAK axlebacks and I love the way it sounds...more of that old school muscle car rumble versus what we get with these raspier coyote engines. Then again I'm hoping the x pipe and muffler delete setup will be more of what I want to hear versus my current setup with the x pipe and stock mufflers. Cheers man and good luck with LTHs and you def can't go wrong with Rousch 🤙
@jeepsjeeps5 жыл бұрын
@@2iBMX So I installed that custom x pipe and muffler delete welded catback setup today and you were right, it sounds pretty fuckin dope! Pleasantly surprised that it's a lot throatier than I thought it'd be, and isn't as raspy as I presumed either, so I'm def pretty stoked with the results. Finally putting out exhaust notes more becoming of her! Those stock mufflers were super quiet, even tame paired with the Mishimoto cut/clamp x pipe resonator delete that I pulled off. But hey thanks again, Cheers man

In spite of the 1st year teething with the 2018 Mustangs do you ever wish you had a 2018 or newer with more power, digital dash and 10 speed auto? I rented one in 2019 basically NY Eve weekend and it was absolute HOOT to drive especially with the 10 speed. I recall one stretch of road where I was driving to meet friends on NY Eve and this person was driving PAINFULLY slow. I basically passed them on the left, put my foot in it (not even full throttle) and WHOO BOY! LOL! Rear end broke loose and I thought I was going to lose it. Those standard GT Premium tires are not up to the task but I bet the car drifts pretty easily. The 10 speed is INSANE how quick it shifts and the new dual mode exhaust when WOT sounds SICK! The digital dash was just the icing on the cake.

No drone but ungodly loud exhaust, awesome. *Cut to **08:30* Not sure what you're saying bro, can't hear you over the exhaust drone.

don't buy an EcoBoost, my engine blew up with only 26K miles on it and with no tune just a cold air intake. v8's are amazing ;)

Parth Patel dude not to call you out but I’m pretty sure it’s like 100% mandatory that if you put a different air intake on your car you have to tune it.

Danny that’s only for the gt not the ecoboost cause ecoboost has map instead of Maf.
