Jake & Nicole, I can't tell you how amazed, gaberflasted and immensely proud of you I am. I've been watching your channel for several years now and each one surpasses the previous in content, adventure, intrigue and bravery. You guys are the model for living off the grid. As a city slicker of 76 years, it would be impossible for me to embark on an off grid lifestyle at this stage of my life, however, it is exciting to live the life you guys live, through you. I'm just overwhelmed at how much you accomplish in every aspect of your day to day lives in planting, felling trees for so many uses, foraging for essentials, growing, harvesting, fishing, diving, all while securing your homestead from various predatory presences. I think if I had to start over again at the ripe age of twenty something, I'd take the leap at this lifestyle that i have been used to for 70 plus years and adopt the "off grid" . There is such a FREEDOM, INDEPENDENCE and SELF RELIANCE that in retrospect can not be equaled. If there is anything that you guys need or feel would make your life more manageable, please let me know as I would be more than thrilled to be a part of your lives in ANY way. when you take a bath, immerse yourself in the water as you exhale, it will be easier for you and don’t let your breathing get confused, breathe evenly, and don’t forget about your head! It also needs to be immersed in water for a couple of seconds to balance the temperature in the body! and ideally, do breathing practice according to Wim Hof ​​before swimming, this will also help you for starters! There is nothing that I don't enjoy watching. I like the reality of glimpses into your lives. Everything is important and it gives us a glimpse into your life, the way you live it. Thank you for not going off KZbin as you once talked about. You can just see it so clearly how well a child thrives living this way!! I wish I could have raised my children this way! Out in the beautiful off grid world! They made a video explaining why they took a break from that homestead, it's all a part of the journey. The many projects have seasons and things that have to be done at both places. Remember; it's their journey, not something they just drop millions for and have done overnight by a crew (there would be no journey in that). This lifestyle is labor intense & time consuming. The little things we take for granite....there is no store to jaunt down to to load your pantry, they grow, forage and make it all. Hand wash their clothes, heat water to bathe, cut & chop wood to heat their house, tend to massive food plots, etc etc, And don't forget, the trips to the ocean to dive for more food, "wow", the incredible things tbey do", all time consuming projects. EVERYDAY IS A LABOR OF LOVE & PATIENCE 😍

🛑☢🛑Love the stuff you do and am very happy for you, all of you !! "BUT" and its a pretty big "BUT" and it comes from love and respect ( Ami'Tofu as my Chines and Buddhist friends would say) you need to wear eye protection ( 6:53) when your using a chain saw, I saw an acquaintance take a 3 inch splinter to the eye ...The splinter won and he was 10 minutes from a hospital . This is a must as well when your when your splitting wood .. Especially since your in such a remote area .. any kind of eye protection seriously brother !! Stay safe and keep living your dream !!
