I think we should equaly appreciate that Phillip dug and install most of the sewage system as well. It´s not something pretty to look at or that you even notice but if it wansn´t there you would 100% notice it. Always important to ackwoledge the "invisible" work that almost never gets praised

@@janekahn8562 I agree 100%. I did love the hand painted tiles, but at the same time I really disliked the white over natural wood cabinets and the lower wood paneling and also the center island. Those all gave it a certain homey feeling that I think a kitchen should have. So far that's the only room of the house where I think they totally blew it but the rest I think is a stunningly beautiful work of art.

As a retired remodeler and new home residential builder I am truly blown away by this project! The amount of hours, planning, decision making, measuring, fabricating, delivering, installing, painting then the hard part paying for it all is absolutely brilliant hats off to all involved job well done! I am especially pleased to see a couple have the energy and finances to save one of these once grand now forgotten estates back to it's new found glory to be passed on to future generations to enjoy. I liked how they did different rooms in different colors...but the kitchen was not it. They basically drained any warmth and color from it. The hand-painted tiles are cute - but they don't pop out in an all-white kitchen. They should have added some color to it, it's wayy too gray.

I watch about 25 chateau vlogs...and have for many years...its my opinion and choice that YOURS is the most attractive and interesting...the personalized touches, the ART of Anna's is exactly my "cup of tea". Great job - long and hard work, as I've seen, but the results of course well worth it...Ella and Lily will one day watch this vlog and appreciate it so much to see and know how hard you both worked - and grandparents also - to create a home and a mansion to be passed on to those girls and their families. What an amazing amount of work you have put in to saving this beautiful chateau. I have been with you every step of the way, latterly as a patron. You are truly turning a cygnet into a swan, it never was an ugly duckling. The only point of disagreement I have with all your decorative choices and garden designs is the dreadful muddy orange colour in the dining room. A red of any colour on the top part of the walls and the panelling on the lower part stripped back to varnished wood would have been a much better choice. Or maybe even a wallpaper but that orange just shrieks at me. I do hope that we will see Anna get her atelier/ studio this year. She has been more than patient. Maybe it will be in one of the voluminous out buildings. She certainly deserves it. A wonderful vlog showing all the hard work you have done over the past five years. I’m not sure if they posted a budget. They did much of the work themselves, which is what makes this such an inspirational story. I built a cabin in WV, so Inhave an idea what this is like. A lot of people live in tents or a trailer, suffering in the short term while they build their dream home.

Anna is just like my partner, she will paint an entire wall with a brush. I am such a roller kind of guy. You have succeeded in creating a modern, clean lines look with enough accents from the original style. I have worked with a German architect who has similar designs. I could go on and on about the details and what beauty and talent has gone into this renovation. I watch these videos in order to get ideas for the farmhouse my son and I are restoring in Piedmont, Italy. I will see if my partner wants to check out Anna's classes! What a rewarding experience. The fact that Anna is a creative genius and wallpaper artist is so wonderful. Especially when you compare the overall aesthetic of the chateau compared to other channels. Brilliant incomparable and to be married to a husband who is truly a master at everything he even just attempts?! I mean the combination of the two can make one's head spin. All teasing aside, I've been a huge fan since you two put up a channel to share such an amazing journey. It's exciting to live vicariously through you two, thank you for continuing to share this aspect of your life with me.
