Yes, the amount of money the federal government would have to create each year to fund a rapid transition of the energy grid is a fraction of the amount it creates for military spending. Biden’s climate policy in regards to actually phasing out, preventing expansions and shutting down fossil fuel facilities has been one step forward and three steps back this entire time, despite the PR they throw at us leading up to the next election. A legislative agenda actually living up to the Green New Deal framework is what we desperately need.

I have a creek running through my back yard and if I installed a microhydroturbine I could power my entire house I rent with it. Instead its heated with propane and firewood as I live in a rural area and this is extremely expensive and inefficient. It would cost about 6 grand to install the turbine. This is an example of how renewable energy must be implemented through a socialist program of nationalization of utilities and natural resources into public ownership by the working class, and it must be geospatially sound in relation to what potential power sources are available on the local landscapes. This will not occur through incremental reformism.
