This is one of the channels that gave me the courage to start my KZbin channel 9 months ago about self development. Now I have 1,726 subs and > 1k hours of watch time. I know it’s not comparable with others but I’m still proud I started because I’ve been learning so many lessons that I could haven’t learned without getting started in the 1st place.

I’ve been thinking about starting a KZbin channel for years. Still haven’t/. But you have and you have subs and I don’t. Congrats to you man. YOU ARE DOING IT!!!!!!!

Part of what makes this so helpful is that you all have such a unique aesthetic in a world of red/purple rgb sameness. Makes it more inspiring to do something creative (but using the helpful tools you’ve provided).

The Wall On Wheels is truly iconic. It will become the new meta in the KZbin space, believe me...

The color scheme and design of these areas are really engaging, at the same time relaxing (dark tones) and full of energy (right stuff in its right place). Very smart and appealing blend.

Always love the breakdowns of your spaces and workflows. Our family just moved two weeks ago and I've been mudding all day, getting ready to start sanding in my new home office, so this was well timed for me! plenty of inspiration, as always.

Most amazing (for me anyway) is to see your framed YYT piece behind you! Newfoundlanders doing BIG stuff in front of hundreds of thousands of people is really inspiring. Just awesome.

I have two video studios in my basement. One is a decorated desk with backdrop, the other is a work bench. I have enough large lights that I don't have to move any from set to set. There are also colored RGB lights in each set. I also have individual teleprompters in each studio. I use a Canon 90D with 35mm for my camera. I am also probably going to make a product B-roll set.
@JamesG7142 жыл бұрын
mount the lights to the joists overhead. free up your floorspace. You can mount them on a spring arm or any number of solutions. All the tripods and cables are a trip hazard, especially in a space that gets used all the time. The cable management can get pretty relaxed after a while.

I really enjoyed your last basement tour video, so I was looking forward to this one! In the previous video, it was really neat to see the actual layout of your basement and where all the sets are located, because when you’re filming in each one it looks like you’re in a whole new studio space, not in the same basement. Kudos to your wonderful design aesthetic and finding the perfect balance of decor and lighting for each corner. Whenever I watched the podcast, I was like ‘where the heck is this positioned in relation to the slat wall?’, for example! I’m also pretty new to video lighting, so I do appreciate you repeatedly mentioning the types of lights that are in each space. The little light sitting in the “bowl” light in the podcast set is my favourite hack! Thanks for another great vid, and love your sweater, Becki!

Exactly what I was looking for! I have an unfinished basement that I'm looking to turn into multiple recording spaces just like you guys. A couple questions: Does your unfinished ceiling ever cover surfaces in your basement with what looks like sawdust? (I have that problem with our basement ceiling that's just like yours.) How wide did you make your slat wall, to cover the back of the shot in the first setup?
