Thank you guru for such wonderful talks..never had any clue about advaita Vedanta and upanisads. First time I remember I heard your talk about mandukya explaining about awake, deep and dram state and common turiya in all state whixh is not the fourth stage but is in all stages of awake, dream and deep sleep stage and also with explanation about pot and clay. I was I rearranged in your talk and slowly started hearing more and more on a regular basis in home and even when going to work whixh takes 1 hr and coming back from work which takes same time.. I heard katho upanisads all chapters, varantara sara and now in bhagwat geeta…In this time when people don’t have to find guru but I feel I found the great guru whose guidance is making me a better human being and seeing everyone the same as you always say seeing divinity among all…thank you guru ji🕉🙏pranam

Beautiful talk! Swamiji, Sant Tukaram wrote an Abhang which I have translated here. The one who was smaller than an atom that Tuka is now as large as the sky itself. I swallowed my body and got rid of it, the body that is the form of delusion. I got rid of the Triputi and a light started glowing in the earthen pot (Ghat). Tuka now says that now I remain just to help others.

5:01 why do we work? Why do we study? For fulfillment. However that activity cannot give fulfillment: it is just consciousness watching the body and mind move around in the machine of samsara as it is meant to; all reincarnation because that consciousness is watching all bodies and minds and yet watching only one body and mind fully and watching all together and watching nothing at all because there is nothing at all apart from consciousness. Goosebumps verse here. And consciousness is not some thing that has accidentally got stuck: no, it is reality divested of all name and form and falsity, it is you, it is not a mysterious thing. It is infinite so it watching all.

Consequences of prarabdha karma cannot be avoided by anybody. Enlightened will also bear them, and because he is enlightened, better than unenlightened. Verse 19 is defining pandit. I interpret it as whose karma are burned by dnyaan, not prarabdha karma, wise call him Pandit.

ANY ONE HAVING ACCESS TO SWAMI SARVAPRIYANANDA, CAN YOU PLEASE ASK HIM THIS QUESTION ? If I wanna walk, I understand that mind takes the decision, and brain signals the motor organs (legs). But how does the decision go from mind to brain? I think mind doesn't know how to do that! I guess either the decision travels as pure consciousness (chit) -> prana -> brain OR directly chit to brain OR either chit or prana makes a change somewhere in the brain (some neuron cell instruction change, for example), and thus brain knows about the decision.

@@rakhalacharjee7603 Hi! But I see no one trying to answer my question I think I found answer to my question myself. It was 2 years old. What I wrote feels incorrect to me now Mind has no physical existence. While memory is a container for data, and this data stored in brain neurons, mind is a function of brain I heard somewhere that if we send a horizontal line via the ajna center (between the 2 eye brows) and a vertical line via the sahasrara center (brahma randhram, top of the head), the 2 lines meet at a certain point inside the brain, which would be within the pineal gland, and is called as the "seat of the soul" in spirituality lingo. This is where the experiences happen (the 5 sense perceptions, and thoughts). So, we may say that's the physical location of the brain, and mind is the name given to that function of the brain (i.e. experiencing) So, there is no concept of a decision traveling from mind to brain. It's all happening within the brain itself. What do u say? Makes sense?

ANY ONE HAVING ACCESS TO SWAMI SARVAPRIYANANDA, CAN YOU PLEASE ASK HIM THIS QUESTION ? I understand from Swami's talks (BG, Drg Drsya Viveka, Aparokshanubhuthi) that mind has a special function (which none else have) and this is to be illumined in the presence of pure consciousness. And this illumined mind experiences a flower (for example) So, if I get a thought "I am watching the rose", I understand that this "I" refers to ahankàra, but ahankàra is fake (doesn't exist, a delusion) because it just assumes mind's and body's actions as it's actions. So, "I" is the illumined mind. May be I can call this illumined mind as AWARENESS. So, awareness is watching the rose, and I am awareness. Here, for discussion sake, I am not treating awareness to be same as the pure consciousness (chit) Till here I am ok, I understand, I am comfortable. But, I am unable to accept whenever Swami says that "I" is brahman or "I" is the pure consciousness (or witness consciousness, and that is watching the rose. How can I claim that I am brahman! I never had any experience of watching anything without the use of the mind. Suppose if I can watch a rose in the absence of the mind, then I can agree that I am brahman. I think an enlightened person also can not experience anything in the absence of the mind. I understand that mind doesn't watch the rose on it's own, and needs to be first illumined by pure consciousness. But, claiming that I am consciousness is not logically tallying for me!!! I feel I am a dependent subtle body (mind + memory) which requires the help of consciousness to have an experience. Swami himself said (both in BG as well as in Aparokshanubhuthi) that the universe came into existence because brahman wanted to experience brahman (as a duality), and that the minds (embodied minds) serve this function (experience the objects of the universe) as originally decided by brahman. I mean, "having an experience" is one of the most fundamental functions of the mind. How can I ignore that and directly go 1 level back and say I am brahman! Doesn't make sense to me. But I donno how to get clarity on this confusion. Please pass the question to Swami. Anyone who has clarity on this, please respond to me. Thanks for reading! :)

Well Swami ji tells the reply to this question of yours in chapter 4 verse 18 in last 5 minutes or so and also Swami ji has spoken about it many times earlier but may be I can reiterate what Swami ji has explained. Basically what Swami ji has explained that same thing you have mentioned in your question. The answer to your question is in your question itself. It is jeevatma who realises that it is not limited by this mind & body. But jeevatma realising this and becoming enlightened makes jeevatma a jeevanmukta but not God. Jeevatma will still be in this human body and will use the mind too. Since jeevatma knows that it is not this mind & body and it is indeed the Sat-chit-ananda Brahman so there is a reference shift. Now this jeevatma will manifests the divinity of Sat-Chit-Ananda Brahman through body's action, mind's thought and body's speech. With reference shift, action, thoughts and speech of jeevatma also changes. All the spiritual practices are for the mind only. The mind becomes prepared and the mind is polished and then the mind as the clean mirror reflects Sat-chit-ananda Brahman. If the mind reflects "That" it means the mind reflects divinity now what remains? The mind reflects divinity all time and when mind reflects divinity, then divinity will come in actions, thoughts and speeches. This manifestation of divinity will do welfare of mankind, will lead by examples and set up high ideals. There will be no desire directed actions from enlightened beings. These beings will do work but will never be affected by work. Just think if society have such people who are not running after taking credit of their work, such people who are doing welfare works without any personal desire but only with the desire of offering every action to the feet of God. If society has more & more such people then the ideals of society will increase.

@@anusuya_blissful Thanks for writing. I'm not very sure, but looking at ur name, I'm feeling that we've recently interacted over another yt comment! Anyway... I'm sorry to say this... but u seem to be just repeating words spoken by Swami Sarvapriyananda. I have heard all this. They are just at theory level. Anyway, it's fine -- I'm not at all trying to offend u. My original post was a while ago. Later I got the clarity -- I'm now able to clearly realize how I'm brahman I said ur post as "theory level" coz it doesn't separate brahman (or pure consciousness) from the rest. As u heard from AV talks of Sarva, 1st stage is to separate brahman for everything else, and 2nd stage is to realize that everything is brahman. First, I'll comment on 2nd stage -- until the mind attains enlightenment it is IMPOSSIBLE to notice brahman in everything. It will be just a belief. Just a trust in Sarva and AV content and spirituality in general. But, the 1st stage can be realized right now, even without attaining EL. And I'm able to. The main problem is -- in any experience we can feel only the mind. Then how to separate brahman from mind? Only upon separation we can clearly notice how "I" refers to brahman but not the mind. See the example below. example 1: Mind experiences a rose flower example 2: Mind gets a thought Main difference b/w #1 & #2 is that, in #1 rose is physically outside the mind but in #2 the thought is the mind at the time of thinking the thought. When the mind looks back after a while, mind can notice that 2 things have happened : [a] mind was occupied by the thought -- or mind spent few moments thinking the thought [b] mind experienced the thought. Since mind is only 1 entity, at any point of time, mind can do exactly only 1 action. So, mind spent few moments thinking the thought. During those few moments, the thought and the mind were one and the same. There is no space for the mind to also do another action -- i.e. experiencing the thought Then how did mind knew that the thought was not just in the mind, but it was also experienced? That had happened because while the mind was busy thinking the thought, brahman or pure consciousness had witnessed/experienced the thought. Why does brahman do this? Sarva said on 1 or 2 occasions that the only reason for the universe to be created is that brahman decided to experience different objects in the universe via different minds -- all at the same time, and in parallel. So, brahman experienced the mind as well as the thought. So, in the case of "thought" i.e. example #2, mind thinks the thought and brahman experiences the thought. But in the case of "rose" i.e. example #1, mind experienced the rose, and brahman too experienced the rose. Since both mind and brahman did the same action, it is tough to separate mind from brahman. And hence I used example #2. Thus we can clearly see -- I mean notice PRACTICALLY that brahman experiences everything -- the mind | the intellect | the body | the object | the thought | ... This brahman which experiences everything all the time is the address of "I", coz when we look within and if we are fortunate to stop seeing & hearing & smelling & tasting & touching & thinking, we still feel conscious, which is the reflected consciousness, and this is "I". Since reflected consciousness in the mind is the image of brahman, by induction "I" is brahman. When we suddenly get up from afternoon sleep, there is a theta state of few seconds when the mind and intellect and body and memory become absent, but "I" feels conscious. The only entity active at that time was the reflected consciousness, with no object to experience. And this is the address of "I". I'm basically able to clearly notice which entity within me is brahman at every moment of any experience. But, when I tell myself or tell u "I am brahman" here intellect is deciding what to think, and mind is doing the action in the form of an english sentence. In this context "I" refers to mind. "I" refers to brahman when the mind just shuts up, and there is absolutely nothing within except for the "standalone reflected consciousness" with nothing to experience. You may criticize what I wrote, you may ask questions, or you may comment -- all are welcome Thanks for reading :)

Love is the highest truth but to reach this highest truth, one needs highest knowledge. Without knowledge, one cannot understand love. That is why first priority is knowledge. When one understands the highest knowledge then one understands the highest truth love else what one says as love is very limited.
