@@Luso00_ it’s about who kissed the most ass usually. They throw in some underdogs to make it look fair. It’s about money and status. Behind the scenes they definitely get paid because if you have these awards it gives you a better footing in the industry. The true stars are those that don’t fold to pressure and remain humble and true. Which is rare these days and those people don’t usually last unfortunately.

@mrslovely8527 I agree with the first comment that Jay z should not have cried about Beyonce not winning album of the year, when she has won 32 Grammy. It sounded just "small" and greedy, even if he's right. On the other hand I disagree regarding what you said about the last album of Beyonce, Renaissance. I didn't like the previous ones too, although I appreciate Beyonce's efforts to experiment with different styles. But Renaissance, at least in this mainstream pop music industry, was a prodigy album... Absolutely different from anything else, futuristic, innovative and the album itself incorporated many styles of music while remaining unique at the same time. I think it was genius, absolutely creative and out of the box. And that's why she doesn't sell so much anymore. Because her albums are not so mainstream anymore. It's simple! Grammys should not only count sales but quality. These two don't always go together. E.g. people who don't listen to mainstream music usually snobb this music for its quality. Selling doesn't equal quality

He said, "It meant that much to the culture." Makes me question, who is behind the steering wheel of our unnatural culture. ...and....what would our culture look like if it was natural. It's all connected.

I salute you for your exceptional critical thinking ability. The question you asked is indeed the real question. But most black people are too dumb to reason like you. You don't go through refinery of slavery and come out this dumb a people. Go back and look your collective achievements in the 60's, 70', even 80's. Everything you did [with the minimum amount of effort] turned to gold across all industries. From business to entertainment to sport and so on. Your dominated all the fields. But this was seen as a great threat on a national security level, so J. Edgar Hoover [FBI director] had to come up with some projects in order to mess up the black community. These are all public record. Malcolm X tried so hard to bring this to your attention and wake you up. All his videos are here on KZbin addressing this very question you raised, but you put a bullet in his head. These are a people without understanding. Individually, some are doing well, but collectively the people are being destroyed. My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge [Hosea 4:6].

There was a song years ago called "I aint a writer Im a biter." Jay-Z heard the song and paid top dollar to have it pulled. The song showed all the lyrics that Jayz took from other rappers. I found it interesting.
