50 was always real. Obviously from his background of someone raised in the streets and as his locals gangster, combining that with his mentor's training, he wasn't afraid of the industry or himself. I think something that 50 has that a lot of other artists don't have is integrity and non-stop confidence. When he knows he's right he won't stop till everybody- even the ones clowning him- agrees and sees it his way.

So let me refresh you on hip hop history: Tupac hated puffy- warned BIG before signing to him about how he didn’t trust him when they were friends. Tupac publicly disrespected BadBoy records and had the guys to do so. Tupac also slept with Puffys baby mother the second one documented. All 3 things I named 50 has done to Diddy. Want to know the wildest thing about Diddy? And this isn't very well know at all. In 2022 Disney+ had started filming a reality documentary series on Diddy, trying to make another type of "Meet the Kardashians" They started around Xmas in 2022, filming for nearly a year. They even took the Diddy clan on a all expenses paid cruise on a private yacht to the Caribbean, which cost tens of thousands of dollars. Post production started in Fall of 2023, and had to be cancelled December 2023 when all the allegations came out. The series has understandably been cancelled. It cost over 250k at that point to create. Disney might even take out legal action on Diddy to get that money back. Also during filming Diddy was high and drunk all day, every day. Man was an empty shell. Reason I know is that I know a person who was working on the production itself. Diddy hilariously also has to pay Sting around 7K a day for the copyright rights of "I'll be missing you" from that track in 1997 too.

@@leefswgoh7558 even mase said he wasn't expecting 50 to pay no 2m for him, it wasn't disrespect. it's like wanting to buy a new young player at 500k which is very good money for a rookie player and then you meet the kid then the selling teams tells you the price is 1M. It's not so much about the playing not being worth it as much as it's the disrespect behind thinking you got a fool in front of you so you wanna jack up the price to fck me

50s opp was heavy in NYC...puffy didn't want those problems having barely survived the whole Death row beef and being extorted through out the 90s by NY street dudes

And why is that? Because of the precedence set or should I say reset by 50-it was only that way because the top two rappers in the 90s died by gunshot

Saying the streets of Harlem gave you a hustler’s ambition and made you the man you are when you lived in mount Vernon is wild. Like yeah “ I remember being 5 months old and watching the OGs on the block, they took me under their wing at 2 years old” 😂🤦🏻‍♀️

Jay z, drake, dr dre, ja rule, ludacris, a lot of these dudes operate this way. They lived in the hood for 5 seconds and then made a whole career out of it. They knew of the streets but they were definitely not in the streets.

@@oso1165jay Z grew up in Brooklyn’s Marcy houses and did a a high school year in Trenton NJ - those are not what I deem bucolic experiences. Ja Rule grew up in Hollis which was rough back then. Both fathers ran out. I don’t doubt they legitimately experienced or saw some hard stuff. Mt Vernon, depends the northern part of town is wealthy. Phylicia Rashad, Denzel Washington and some other affluent black celebs live/lived there. The roughest part of Mt Vernon is still nicer than the nicest part of a housing project.

Thank you for saying this! I can’t stand that. You leave the area at 2 years old and did elementary through high school at a Montessori school. You’re from Mount Vernon own it. I’m from a small suburb and know people who say they’re from some hood knowing good and damn well they’re not. That’s red flag #1.
