1. This beef will never end. In my opinion once violence is involved (i.e. 50 and crew getting attacked in the studio and the infamous 9 shots) there's no going back. 2. Ja Rule ended his own career because he thought him and his record label were too big to fail. In turn HE brought Eminem and Dr. Dre into the beef by literally DARING them to get involved when the beef could've just stayed between Ja and 50. The universe will always find a way to humble you 3. 50 is the ultimate troll because he literally does not care AND HAS SO MUCH time. Biggest finesse was clowning Ja Rule for sing-rapping only for him to become popular for doing the same thing lol. That must hurt Ja to this day. 4. The most fascinating thing about this I'd how 50 came out and was able to turn fans and a lot of the industry against Ja! I was legit in middle school talking about how lame Ja was like I knew him personally haha.

39:10 Correction, Go to Sleep was a Benzino diss track. The only line Eminem had toward Ja Rule was “Ja, you’ll get it too,” which means he wasn’t the primary target. That was just a warning shot. 23:09 50 was calling Jada local, not Ja. The only “diss” to Ja in that song was in the music video, where his face is on an arcade game called “Murder Inc.” that’s out of order.

Regarding the song, ' New York', I thought it might interest you to know that South Africans were up in arms when it dropped because it sounds eerily similar to one of our artists' biggest hits; 'Nkalakatha.' I feel like you should've included how historically hard 50 Cent and Gunit was going in the mixtape game leading up to him being signed by Em. No doubt your docs are always extremely detailed but you always seem to leave out at least one important detail and I'm sure there's a valid logic as to why but damn Ross that mixtape run was absolutely legendary and played right into 50's popularity at the time and also gives a better understanding as to why his first album did so well. Also during this era is when fans would noticably point out that 50 seemed to start using Ja Rules melodic harmonizing style in his music which in my opinion was very important to this story because he had already crushed Ja making fun of him singing on tracks only to turn around and do it himself in his own way. Also in much the same way Em D12 and Dre began to take aim at Ja on Fif's behalf (sorta) the lox and fat Joe retaliated the same way from the Ja side. Not a real important detail but since you included Em's numerous attacks why not also do the same for Ja's ally's? None the less, great piece of work as usual. Keep it up

Real reason 50 beefed with Ja: When Supreme Mcgriff came out of jail, he chose to work with Ja and Irv Gotti instead of 50. 50 felt betrayed, he looked up to Preme who was a legend in the neighbourhood and couldn't understand why Preme chose to work with Ja and Irv, who 50 thought was soft. 50 came to the 'it's murda' music video shoot to kill Ja rule and Preme told 50 to go home. 50 thinks he and Preme are cut from the same cloth and that Irv and Ja are not. That's probably the real reason the beef happened. If you look at the FBI tapes, immediately after 50 got shot, Irv Gotti called Preme up and said "did we do it? was it successful" or words to that affect. I think 50 cent blames Ja rule and Irv Gotti for having him shot 9 times which is probably why the beef will go on until one of them dies.

It's been a little over 16 years since this beef ended. And I would like to say, as I got older and looked bacc on it. 50 Cent didn't "end" Ja's career, he simply took it from him. Notice everything 50 is doing, Ja was doing at the time. Revisionist history will tell you 50 sent Ja into irrelevancy which is a lie. Ja went on to have a pretty "meh" career after their beef had ended. One thing I'll give 50 is, he methodically broke Ja's game down and used it against him. I remember at one point 50 told Ja that him singing and rapping (what Drake does now) would never sell records (paraphrasing) so Ja stopped and 50 started doing the exact thing he said would never sell in hip-hop. Unpopular opinion, 50 just stole Ja's shine and ran with it

Exactly 50 took both ja and dmx spot in hip hop if you pay attention to the formula. There's usually 3 top guys with the 3rd being jay z who retired. 50 would be replaced with kanye, lil wayne and t.i (or drake depending)

Any way you slice it, 50 annihilated Ja's career or Murder Inc in its entirety, aside from the Feds investigation into the label for money laundering & racketeering (I truly believe 50 was involved in that) . The Shady/Aftermath machine was just far too strong for Ja to fight back. Also, Ja alienated his "core audience" to reclaim his street appeal in the rap game by constantly trying to go at 50 and looked incredibly weak in the process as the video says. Honestly, I felt that 50 knew who to go at by attacking Ja, being the weakest link in the NY rap scene. Had he tried to diss Jay, Nas, or even DMX, the outcome would've never been what it was...

Then Kanye snatched 50's spot quicker then it took 50 to wear out Ja, karma's a bitch.

@@elijahstraight402 i agree!!! If Ja had stayed focused on making music to keep his core fan base, 50 wouldn't have had as much success overshadowing his career. In hindsight, Ja Rule did this yo himself
