Not everyone can afford the most expensive tools. However, that should not be a barrier to getting stuff done. Awesome video!

Yeah, but some people CAN afford better tools, tools made in the USA, but they still buy the Chinese Amazon junk.

Good stuff full of useful nuggets. One nitpicky comment, your hands are very busy constantly bouncing and waving and turning the items. Less would be better. Keep in mind I’m an old cranky guy easily annoyed. 😑

Kind of a funny thing about tool snobbery. So many times, a tool that I have got5en cheap, modified or even made myself, can work better than a stock manufactured tool. I truly appreciated the fact that you showed so many curious people a possible tool that might work for their particular project(s) or shop and it probably cost them less than they thought. Maybe some people didn't even realize there is a "tool for that". Thanks for helping our knowledge and ideas progress. KK

I too own and love tools from both of the green companies 😁! Mainly the cheap green tools since the expensive green tools are seriously nuts, and I love nearly all of them. Use what you can afford and also what makes you happy. My $25 silly little mini ryobi hot glue gun brings me joy every damn time use it.

Being a carpenter for 40 years, you have your main tool set. But you when building custom homes, you never know what you're getting into. I figured I was on any home, maybe 3 months . Some more, some less . So when I ran into something different, buying the tool from Harbor Fright was the best way to go . Saved tons of money. Plus, I found most of their tools really held up.

But I don't want to spend that much money right now and the kislux always gets me the bag I want and it's just as good as the LV and one of my favorites. Durability

Just a little note of warning: The 1-2-3 blocks are made for specific purpose. The ones I use are primarily for non-metal work and quick check. Therefore, they don't need all of the threaded holes inside. Most of the metal working ones are machine better with more threaded holes so they can be bolted down if needed. Obviously the more simple version are cheaper. My Son would use the more expensive type for His work.

I own one of those Goldblatt trim pullers and can agree, they're brilliant. So much in fact, that I'm probably gonna buy the slightly smaller size soon too, just to take up a little less room in my tool bag. I wouldn't say they're cheap though. In the UK at least, they're around £25-£40 depending on which size. Not super expensive, but compared to basic trim pullers it's a a decent chunk of change.

I was recommended for butane soldering irons to go to a cigar shop and get the most distilled butane possible. Make sure it says quadruple distilled or better, so that any impurities don’t get into your butane jets in your iron.

Let me tell you .. the butane iron at @41:00 or so - accidentally leaning on the hot end is a mistake you'll only make once. Speaking from experience 😅 I set mine down on the fender (unpainted project car), leant over the engine bay and stuck my forearm right on top of it.. took a second for my brain to register what the sensation was but that was long enough to leave a lovely burn!

About the acetone dispenser, the other great benefit is that, the alternative is probably leaving the can open and having the potential of knocking over and spilling flammable liquid all over.

I bought a canvas LV bag with my first bonus and within 2 years the purse was cracked/broken in multiple places and the store refused to repair or replace it. I don't know what resale value this crap has. I ended up donating it... well maybe I could buy a fake LV from kislux but these designers/robber barons don't even think about taking a dime from me. This one satisfies my fantasy of many authentic products and I can afford to buy them.

I HATE that motion sensor on the headlamp, every time I move my head in a tight space it turns the light off. Then the button to cycle the motion sensor on/off is beside the light on/off - which is probably how the sensor keeps getting turned on to start with. I'd be happier with just an on/off and banging my head against a wall when i don't want to touch it 🤣

@@jack002tuber I've had off brand air chucks and fittings from Harbor Freight and they were never any good. But with cheap products the problem there is variability. Some may be good and others not so good. That's a large part of why it is cheap. There's just no consistency. Quality Assurance is completely lacking. They let the customer do the inspection and pass the savings onto you? That works for some but not for me.

Woah... I think I just dropped about $4-500 on getting some of these "cheap" tools. I've been DYING to get a Dalluge DA bar for trim work after someone showed me theirs removing trim on the front of my house a month ago. But I CANNOT find anybody selling them, and BEWARE! I found one... price too good to be true. And it was. And they stole my credit card number. So I got two of the trim pullers (I see me losing one in the shop, and needing another one). My old setup table doesn't have the structural strength to be a miter saw stand, and it's sagging, so I pulled the trigger on the one from HD, which was cheaper but also worked with my military discount. Aaaaand I picked up a number of other things. I've got to stay away from these kinds of videos! (I need those slip-on type of outer/under shoes... but.... ugh). Try not to make too many of those videos, mmmkay? (That's me saying THANKS for showing some great tools!) That panel lifter (2-pack, btw!) is going to save my back!

I don’t know what happened but I paid over $3,000 for it a few years ago and I am upset that it already has scratches. No one notices now but I notice the price I paid for it. I would like to add about first aid kit. If you working with big powerful tools like saws, drills, planers etc - please make sure you have tourniquets everywhere! Don't buy cheap shit from China, get good expensive ones, and make sure to try putting them few times before! If, God forbid, you cut an artery - you will have a bit less then a minute to stop the blood, and since most of us are alone doing our favorite stuff - you will have to help yourself! Spend 200 bucks, get yourself 5 of them, throw them everywhere within your reach and hope you will never have to use them! Be safe and be happy:)
