Great content 👍... One of the things that have cost me money is trading against divergence. I've noticed that if you are trading with the trend it's better to check if there's regular divergence, it helped me not take trades at the end of at trend

Anyway testing only in one main cross isn't a good idea, not all cross do same movement and is important to test a strategy on all the cross and for a 5-30 minute timeframe have at least one year of backtesting, and this is easy to do with mt4 or mt5 data, because is most used programs for algotrading and in this trading approach the backtesting and optimization is all

While the approach was the right one, filtering with a faster EMA, it would have been smarter to keep filtering with the 200one as well. After all the point of the 50ema is to filter deeper pullback, but the 200 was filtering the trend direction, they're not the same and thus should be used in addition to each other. That being said I don't think it will turn out a great start but it would certainly stop you from taking short entries on a deep pullback because the 50 allows you to while the 200 was still up. You probably won't make a third video on this and I'm not really interested in that indicator to spend the time on it but I'm sure curious about the results anyway

Simone, if we accept that a risk/reward of 1:1.5 results in a 56% win rate (some do better, some worse), then your Expected Return would be .56*1.5 - .44*1 = .84-.44 = .40. This means that in the long run you would expect to gain, on average, 40% of your cumulative investments using a setting of 1:1.5 risk-to-reward. It's important to note that the risk/reward setting determines the win rate, so you need to see what happens to the win rate when you change the risk/reward setting. You can't ASSUME that a 1:2 ratio will result in a 50% win rate. To answer your question, you will want to find an optimal risk/reward ratio that nets you a long-term gain of 40%. or better So, tweak your risk/reward ratio and see what win rate results. It may be that a 1:2 risk/reward ratio lowers your win rate to a value below 50%. Let's say it reduces the win rate to 40%. Then the Expected Return would be .40*2 - .60*1 = .80 - .60 = .20 or a long-term gain of only 20% of the investment for each trade. If the win rate from a 1:2 risk/reward ratio is 45% , the the Expected Return would be .45*2 - .55*1 = .35 meaning a you would see a long-term gain of 35% of your investment for each trade. Finally, It may be that it will take a different risk/reward ratio, like 1:1.8 to produce a 50% win rate, which would make your Expected Return easy to calculate. It would be .50*(1.8-1), or a 40% long-term Expected Return. It's an algebraic simplification of the formula I used above. I hope that helps.

try this (i've oversimplified the rules) :- Indicator : LWMA 4 set to HIGH, LWMA 4 set to LOW, Bolinger Band (default setting :- Period 20, Dev 2, set to close) Setup (for Sell): - wait for price to close BELOW LOW BB AND BB is on DOWNWARD position (important to note on the BB position) Entry : - wait price to pullback, entry on LWMA4 HIGH for sell entry SL : - depends on TF and PAIR TP : - 1:2 Can put EMA50 for filter. price above EMA50, look for buy setup , price below EMA50, look for sell setup. for buy, just reverse the rules. entry point buy is at LWMA 4 HIGH. wait for price to ABOVE TOP BB AND BB is on UPWARD position just remember, SELL at LWMA HIGH, BUY at LWMA LOW ( as we are waiting for pullback / buy low, sell high) please try this and comeback with the result.
