If it's a nice cold morning session on the dyno I'd guess 320hp. If it's a bit warm like 290hp. Sounds great either way and will do awesome as a drift missile. Great job giving the car community the info to re-use different cheaper engines for the fun stuff. 👍👍

it does sound like a skyline now! god damn i love that sound... can't wait for the dyno video..... and if the engine gonna be reliable enough... you can teach young yugo(wait for him to be like.. middle school? 2nd grade of middle school maybe.. just like Takumi's age when Bunta starting to "force" takumi do deliver some tofus 😂) drift on this thing with that engine😂 and if you take it to a drift track it would be something like "The car that people dont usually use for drifting" and be wondering "bruh did he just drifted a 4-door R32?" and people coming to look rhe engine, they might expected an RB28... but they get shocked it's a single cam RB20🤣 ay sam! add some 2000's drift car things to it!! like a white strobe running lights on the headlamp... and some cheap led neon maybe...🤣

A bigger cam at idle will typically have less vacuum, so less airflow and you need to lean it out. Car sounds rad!!!

I have a feeling those head valvetrain parts are also interchangeable with 1980s vg30e parts. Vg30e single cam has same looking rocker arms. Possibly valve springs and rest of it aside from cam Also.8k seems high. Probably at the oil pumps limit. Maybe rb30 oil pump?

It's alot more responsive because it's flowing a whole lot better through the engine, if you have someone port and polish a head it'll flow even better than now.

I know nothing about this so its just a guess, you may have had to take fuel out of the map because the overlap of the old cam could have been blowing the fuel straight through the cylinder and out the exhaust meaning you would need more fuel to get the same amount in the cylinder.

I am an RB20 supporter, it annoys me especially in the states they call RB20’s “boat anchors” and they are talking about RB20DET! Never seen anybody turbo an RB20E my guess for the dyno, depending on boost is about 310hp, 340lb ft. I bet that single jingle flows really well and some of the bottom end is shared with the DET, turn that thing up those engine are cheap as!

Just because you never seen it done does not mean it was not done ..I was doing turbo to this motor and may other on the Rb20e before he “sammit” decided to turbo this 20e and I’m state side the problem he will face is when he blows the motor because the rods and pistons are different the wrist pins are smaller and the crank which is different to the det plus The journal bearings are slightly smaller compared to det…
