I would like to differ. True, going to Shiratorizawa would have definitely ment Oikawa could go to Nationals, but he wouldn’t be happy there. I actually feel like Seijoh unlocked his true potential, as he brought out the best in everyone. Also in the Haikyuu movie, Oikawa thanks his team for the past 3 years, and will truly miss them. I don’t think Oikawa would have felt too connected to Shiratorizawa. Shiratorizawa playing style is very different from Seijoh’s. In Shiratorizawa everyone on the team is to help Ushijima play his best, which means Shiratorizawa is a team where everyone supports him. In Seijoh, Oikawa is the one that supports the team, therefore he feels connected with everyone. Oikawa played his hardest in Seijoh, and still lost. That just adds fuel to his fire. Being on Seijoh is going to be a huge part of his volleyball career. One that not even Shiratorizawa could ever fill. I’m sorry I wrote so much-

No, it's in the scene where he receives the Best Setter award. When he receives the award Iwaizumi says "That's a rare smile, with no ulterior motive." to which Oikawa responds with "My smile is always straightforward and pure!" "'Straightforward and pure' coming from you already makes it impure." I hope that cleared things up for you :)
