@@TheOdontologist It’s amazing watching a perfectionist work. I’ve just started rebuilding my CX for the second time. First time was 25 years ago. This time I’m going the scrambler look and using motoGadget items. I’ll be referencing your vids to show how some things should be done. Thank you. Great resource!

Great job, I can see why, as you said some people say leave it alone. 😁

As a dude, I thought it was funny when his wife came in and he said: "what did I do!" Instead of, "hi hun," or "what's going on!"

The manual calls for lithium grease? Seems like a job for high temp wheel bearing grease.

I dont know what is in hi temp wheel bearing grease. I just follow the manual because my inexperience prevents me from creating my own opinion. And what I read on pages 14.17 14.21 and 14.21 of the Honda CX500 Factory Service Manual clearly states "lithium based multipurpose grease" I am also aware that in the manuals for other models like the 500e and 650e they refer to a "multipurpose NLGI No. 2 (molybdenum disulfide additive) grease" . So although I welcome your opinion, because you paraphrased me with a question mark, I will in this case defer to the manual. Greases and oils ! ☺

@@TheOdontologist - hey if they manual says what to use, then I would use it too. It just surprised me when you said it in the video. I think of lithium grease as the stuff you put on window tracks or maybe hinges in vehicles. Enjoying your videos, thanks for taking the time.
