50 Hour Service Kubota LX2610. Rookie Mistake

Its time for the 50 hour service on the Kubota Lx2610. I've got the manual's that came with the tractor to guide me through. I discover that the manual states I shouldn't have loaded tires when using the loader, which is news to me. I then proceed with the oil and filter changes and have a little trouble with the hydraulic filter, which caused me to loose more hydraulic fluid than I probably should have. I decide to drain the transmission and start with fresh hydraulic fluid. I'm not sure what caused the filter to not thread correctly the first time, I'm a rookie tractor owner and I'm sure it could have been worse.

Same thing happen to me….if you look close that little black cable above your filter in the video got pinched between the case and backing plate of the filter. Once u loosened it then retightened it must have slipped out. I zipped tied mine up out of the way. Just a heads up.

Hi Dave, Thanks for posting this video. It did not go perfect but you shared it anyway. I appreciate your honesty. Great tip on tie wrapping the black cable by the filter in your comments. 👍 I noticed the exhaust soot on the hood as you were closing it. Gord Potter from GP Outdoors did a video about cleaning off the soot. He uses a product called Spray Nine. You should check out his video review on it. Keep the great videos coming 👍. Thanks, Dan

I have a cab tractor LX 2610 with a cab and I do have the backhoe attachment and my tires are loaded don't hurt a thing

That filter on the right is a pain. Good for UDT sales😆. Personally, I wouldn't be without filled tires. My LX2610 had them and my LX3310 has them fil.e used a friends B2650 with no juice and it was a tippy feeling machine.

After tipping my LX3310, I have filled tires and wheel spacers. It feels better now, but I am still leary.

Is that the only fuel filter? My L3901 has a much larger filter, about the size of the engine oil filter

Yes it’s the only fuel filter, not very big either.

I am pretty sure mine (LX3310) has a cartridge style one as well. Located to the right of the water separator.

Look up the shop vac trick for the next time you need to replace the suction filter without the hydraulic fluid. Makes life a whole lot easier and less messy. Did you confirm that the o-ring came off with the old suction filter?

Wow that’s a great trick! I just watched a video and will be trying that next time. Yes the o-rings all came off, every filter threaded on a little challenging not nice and smooth as I think it should. Thanks for the great tip!
