In response to these… - Flareon is an example of Pokemon with a Pokémon whose movepool doesn’t fit its attacking stats. Entei was an example of this until it slowly got more options. - Raichu should have gotten the boost with the Light Ball IMO since it’s the evolved form, not only Pikachu. - Chandelure’s HA was never released, similar to Serperior’s HA and the Legendary Beasts (Water Absorb, Volt Absorb and Flash Fire). Could have changed the meta in Gen 5. - I didn’t like how Darkrai got a nerf with the accuracy of Dark Void. It only being exclusive to it was reasonable but still… Good that PLA returned the original accuracy though. - Crits in Gen 1 being dominant made Razor Leaf, a rather weak looking move, be pretty strong. - Speaking of different designs, some Pokémon used to have different number of digits. Ursaring and Mr. Mime used to have 4 fingers in earlier sprites/artwork. - Tracey is pretty hated from what I heard, as it felt forced for him to be in the anime. - GS being the original last games make sense due to how the story was structured.

All Pokémon sprites received an update in Blue, but these updates were usually intended to bring them more in line with their appearance in promotional art and the anime, so Koffing's sprite being changed to make it look less like every other depiction of it is very strange.

Hence the speed issue is fixed and you can make use of the higher attack and bulk mega chomp provides. Even special moves are viable since it has 120 special attack. Some may say life orb chomp outdamages its mega which is true but regular chomp usually prefers other items like leftovers anyways. @lassestvring34272 жыл бұрын
I think people hate freeze more because while Sleep is turn based, meaning you have a set limit of how many turns you stay asleep, Freeze is percentage based, so if luck really isn't on your side and you don't have any fire moves or scald, you can stay locked in place, unable to do anything for much longer. Another thing to consider is that Freeze, to my knowledge, can only be applied by damaging moves, meaning you could kind of see it as insult to injury. You take damage and suddenly aren't able to do anything as well. On the other hand sleep can almost only be induced through status attacks where most have a not insignificant risk of missing, meaning your opponent might basically waste their turn, whereas with freeze is more like an added bonus
@robertlupa82732 жыл бұрын
@@lassestvring3427 Compared to Freeze, which is only caused by damaging moves, the only Sleep-inducing damaging moves are Relic Song (Meloetta's signature move), G-Max Befuddle (G-Max Butterfree's signature move) and Secret Power (only in long grass [Gen 3], tall grass [Gen 4+] and on Grassy Terrain). 2:35 Nope, shadow tag chandelure wasnever officially realesed, so it never had a chance to use it in smogon standard play, but in gen 5 a "dream world" tier existed where every pokemon could use their hidden ability from the dream world and there I'm pretty sure chancelure was banned or something

I just found out today that Raikou, Enter, Suicune had their hidden abilities changed. Used to be the same as the first three Eevee evolutions, then all changed to... Inner Focus?

tbh their original hidden abilities where never released, so it was impossible for them to have lightning rod, flash fire or water absorb

Ok that Charmander spike just blew my mind. I see it now, but I never saw it like ever. Oo And I played since 1998. Woah. I have to ask some of my friends, if they knew that!

That water shuriken thing is weird because accelgor isn't water type
@maganhassan26272 жыл бұрын
I mean it's a ninja too lol 🤷♂️ It makes somewhat sense
@velvetbutterfly2 жыл бұрын
Yeah, wouldn't it be weird if other Pokemon could learn non-stab moves? Zoroark with Flame Thrower, Goldeen with Peck (when did you see a flying fish?)
@Takananoshi2 жыл бұрын
@@velvetbutterfly I think in a sense that Water Shuriken is a signature move for Accelgor. You don't see many signature moves for pokemon that don't share the same type with its moves
@IgnitedQuils2 жыл бұрын
Not really unusual since Pokemon learn moves that aren’t similar to its type

The ability "RKS System" being introduced has the same vibe as when Toby Fox made a song called "It's Pronounced Rules" because people had trouble pronouncing the name Rouxls Kaard.
