MaVida I think it’s impossible to impute emotion to the riffs only, because you already know the whole songs with words. Try to think of other instrumental songs that have become great hits; hardly any. Zep and Page are my ultimate favorites, so I’m not knocking them, but as great as the songs are without vocals, they don’t express any specific meaning. Think of Kashmir or Rain Song or Stairway without words...nice but lacking a huge part of what makes the songs great.

What a great job, thanks! Loved the way they were distributed. From the moment I heard those opening chords in "Good Times Bad Times" I was a huge Jimmy fan. I was 17 when I picked that album up and lucky for me, LZ and Jethro Tull were both on their first American tours and playing together at the Kinetic Playground in Chicago shortly after, a short EL Train ride away from me. $5. Or was it 6$? We "had" to sit on the floor, about 10 rows from the stage. Yes, it was memorable, even now at 72. Picked up that first Tull album (still my favorite of theirs) the next day. The thing I really appreciated about Page's playing was not his "speed" but the many uniquely interesting things he came up with melodically. And of course, his sound was stellar. Lucky to have grown up with that.

Hendrix had big hands. Also, shop guitars. Some have wider necks! Also the advice about bass is right. Honestly, bass is way sicker anyways!

I've never been the biggest fan of Zep but this just reminds me of how GOOD they really are, totally worthy of their legendary status, even if a lot of their songs don't quite make it for me.

They're all great riffs, but the guitar work on "The Rain Song" is just exceptional writing and arranging!

I've been a Led Zeppelin fan for many years... Love that warm guitar sound. Wonderful Andrea, if you could share some tip on achieving the sound that would be cool!

What do you mean? They've never once stated that Led Zeppelin is one of their influences!

@@alexandervardanyan6312 I just think the riff sounds a bit alike

No they actually have not ever said so themselves, but it is still very obvious

Jonatan Petersson I’m pretty sure they have said that led zeppelin was a major influence in an interview, could be wrong however

The playing is very good but to be honest the fact that you nailed the tone on each song is also to be appreciated

I applaud your sequencing, the specific choices of which riffs go where make for less jarring transitions and an overall more cohesive video.

10 years is my favorite zeppelin song. Why didn’t you play the best riff in it though. Great vid tho haha

It's so nice to see riffs from the deeper cuts that don't get near enough recognition.

Exactly what i was looking for. Just goes to show to show how bloody versatile the sg is can cover sabbath, acdc , and led Zeppelin among others. Both les paul and sg have the same gibson sound albeit slightly different flavors anything that has ever been played on a les Paul can be played on an sg bonus wont hurt your back. This video is very encouraging.
