Dario Vargas I think Robert Plant is the overlooked genius in LZ; without lyrics and melody, these are just riffs without much emotion and meaning. Plant turned the grooves into music, some of which rivaled or surpassed the best Beatles song musically.

@@peacefulruler1 I have to disagree with you, these riffs definetly arent without emotion on their own, quite the opposit actually. Even as a huge beatles fan I got to admit there are so many zep songs that are way better than most beatles songs.
@peacefulruler1
@peacefulruler1 4 жыл бұрын
MaVida I think it’s impossible to impute emotion to the riffs only, because you already know the whole songs with words. Try to think of other instrumental songs that have become great hits; hardly any. Zep and Page are my ultimate favorites, so I’m not knocking them, but as great as the songs are without vocals, they don’t express any specific meaning. Think of Kashmir or Rain Song or Stairway without words...nice but lacking a huge part of what makes the songs great.

What a great job, thanks! Loved the way they were distributed. From the moment I heard those opening chords in "Good Times Bad Times" I was a huge Jimmy fan. I was 17 when I picked that album up and lucky for me, LZ and Jethro Tull were both on their first American tours and playing together at the Kinetic Playground in Chicago shortly after, a short EL Train ride away from me. $5. Or was it 6$? We "had" to sit on the floor, about 10 rows from the stage. Yes, it was memorable, even now at 72. Picked up that first Tull album (still my favorite of theirs) the next day. The thing I really appreciated about Page's playing was not his "speed" but the many uniquely interesting things he came up with melodically. And of course, his sound was stellar. Lucky to have grown up with that.

Awesome video and beautiful riffs🤘🏻 Led Zeppelin is one of my favorite classic rock bands of all time :D Everyone who listens to any kind of music should appreciate this band. Especially if you are a metalhead like me: the influence on even the heaviest bands in the genre is gigantic haha. Sry for my bad english, I am from Germany

Beautiful, indescribably beautiful! Led Zeppelin is one of my favorite music groups in the history of song and you do remarkable justice to parts that one knows like the back of one's hand. And I wouldn't mind hearing a full guitar cover of either "Rain Song" or "Over the Hills" in the *very* least 😁 Blessings!

In addition to the excellent playing, the editing, drum work, sound, graphics and layout, this video was excellent. With that little teaser pause before 50, I really thought you were going to "Bring it on Home". Thanks for the time travel back to my 70s youth and a smile today.

Headbanging my head to one riff when you switch to the next one and it’s tempo is compatible, just like your tool compilations. So so cool to experience work work, thank you so so much. Also the rover has to be the best riff.

3:55 “the wanton song” the section you chose is one of my favorites… the first minute or so of the song is building tension by not resolving chord progressions and the perfect moment Page plays that descending cascade of notes that ties everything together perfectly. A rare example of a chorus without any singing, just Jimmy.

Both les paul and sg have the same gibson sound albeit slightly different flavors anything that has ever been played on a les Paul can be played on an sg bonus wont hurt your back. This video is very encouraging.
