About that Leevi and the leavings band. Fun fact: every song of theirs is made of a real person. They are kind of a true stories with a humor lyrics. Gösta, the singer who also made those songs, liked to write songs of hes friends and people's that he knew. For example Pohjois-Karajala song is made of a man called "Anton" and Teuvo Maanteiden Kuningas Song is made of a man called Teuvo, who were from Evijärvi.

Also Gösta was a fan of Italodisco and took plenty of inspiration from those songs.

There's quite a lot of songs I like from this list. It was a pretty good time in Finnish music, as well as the early 2000's - probably the best time. The clips are very short to really appreciate the songs, though. We had many international breakthroughs too, such as Darude, HIM, The Rasmus, The Crash and "22. Pirkko".

That Suurlähettiläät song is their own production so not a cover. However the 5th place Movetron - Romeo ja Julia is a cover from Ice Mc - Think About the way Recommendation: 13th place Nylon beat Rakastuin mä looseriin is probably the most covered finnish song ever so you may want to check out Evolution of Dreams Come True/Like a Fool/Rakaistuin Mä Looseriin' 1996-2021 by channel joy.

Oh my, the song Turhaan plays in my head very often. I think the word turhaan ("for nothing") is kind of a trigger word. 😂 It also has one of my favourite words in Finnish: kuurankukka ("a frost flower", i.e., a shape frost can form in a window)

CMX, one of my favorite bands ever. They started as HC punk band back in the 80s, and turned to a progressive rock band. Ruoste is one of their most popular songs.
