Dear Kayla, My father wrote a textbook of American English for Foreign Learners back in 1979 ... However, due to the fact that the relations between the USSR and the USA were going through a rough patch at the time, the manuscript was turned down and its publication was strictly forbidden by the Communist educational authorities. My father passed away a long time ago but I still have that manuscript. I could type it up and email it to you in parts if you want absolutely for free. Obviously it's horribly behind the times and needs a lot of updating but I believe it might still be of considerable interest to teachers and students of American English. - SF Moscow, Russia
