50 MPG GAS SAVER FOR REAL! Suzuki FA50 Rebuild (Part 1)

Update on June 13 2023. It's taken a year to source all the parts I need to breathe a lot of new life into this moped. I finally got all of them (thank you eBay). I will be starting the filming of the upgrades and repairs shortly and should have a mini series uploaded to KZbin very soon. Cool engine upgrade coming that should get this old girl up to 40mph from its current 27mph max speed.

I've had one for a few years. I put a vm18 mikuni and new exhaust from Treatland. Also don't trust the oil injection. Buy premix or mix your own gas. Good luck!

The oil pump was unplugged many years ago and is still working good. I used mixed gas for quite some time before that. It's worth checking every spring when it's time to take it out of winter hibernation.

That's cool dude, I have a blue shuttle & a blk Honda urban express deluxe. I used mine for work 30 miles everyday. 15 there & 15 back. Parked mine for a new Honda PCX scooter. Everytime I see one of these little guys takes me back ( youth ) to awesome times 💯 thanks for sharing 🛵👍

Stay tuned, I believe I have solved my "no spark" issue and will be diving into it very soon. Got 3 other videos I need to finish editing and will be knocking out the moped series right after.

i know this a bad question but what type of 2 stroke cycle oil do you fill it up with to mix with the gas, can i use the orange stihl bottle of 2 cycle in the oil tank

Any type of 2 cycle oil will work. These mopeds are older so I personally would not use synthetic, but I am sure it will work as just as well.

@@Liberty_DIY that's the problem with older bikes either you pay a premium or you fabricate the part yourself. Anyhow can't wait to see the final result please keep it as original as possible.
