Man, I build my Mojave after watching your videos, last night Oct 2, 2024 I ran 63mph popping a wheelie. Castle 1010, 5600kv 3s CNHL lipo, BSR foam tires, 24t pinion and 57t spool. Great videos. Thank you 🙏

I normally never cross the intersection. I stay on my side. But today i had to try it and f’d around and found out! Why i need to stay on my side of the block..🤣🤣… striped hub.. aint no fixing gota replace and no replacement hubs available for mohaves yet. So i went widebody and switch to metal cvds and arms for the granite and typhon. Next vid i will show it.

Hey there buddy great video just here to check your content i believe my stock motor is bad i changed my spur gear to a 57t from the 60t and not much difference in speed i found copper dust under the motor it came off the armature so I'm going to get another one it always acted different than. My typhon grom only, $15 for another motor 😮😁

Jesus dude. I have a 65mph granite grom I wanna swap into a Mojave grom. It seems way more stable than the other groms. Awesome video man as always.

I had to mod my granite to get it to run straight. Lol. These mohaves handle waaaay better. I say get you a mohave.. 65mph you will flip it, may need to open the back like i did to keep it planted. But get you one bro!

I did the same thing to the rear of the body. Much better air flow when its ripping 50mph +! I am running a 4500kv motor with a EZ run ESC. I also added a cheap Dumbo RC radio and receiver with a Gyro and the truck handles soo good at top speed now. Super fun little truck, I love it and it smokes my Mini B brushless 2 in 1 setup 😄

You are correct, it was the battery wire getting caught between the tire and the body.

Great video as always. How do you like the Radiomaster transmitter and are you using ExpressLRS receivers?
@MrMeDos3 ай бұрын
The transmitter is nice i like it. Took a min to adjust to it, still learning it. I have the elrs 5ch receivers in both mohaves. I have about 6-7 cars with the receivers. I like the small size and no antenna features for sure. Easy bind as well.

Excuse me good sir, I was curious about your gear setup and may try them both out, my question is what pinion did you use? I saw you said 26 tooth, is that .5 mod or do you know the name brand for that part? Any help would be much appreciated 👍 I love your videos
@MrMeDos2 ай бұрын
My motor has a 1/8 bore shaft so i got a pinion sleeve to fit a 5mm bore pinion and was able to run the larger pinion sizes. Not sure what motor you have but if its a castle the pinion sleeve is what you need. Converts it to a 5mm shaft.
@birdistheword13272 ай бұрын
@@MrMeDos ok thanks, I understand about the bore sleeve necessary to run a larger pinion, so I would need a .5 mod pinion to match the hot racing spur gear? Not trying to waste your time this is my first brushless setup so I've been comment surfing all day for Info, any info you have is greatly appreciated!

I just did that with my Mojove. I ordered the steel replacements for the Typhone and just swapped in the mojave dog bones in place of the longer Typhone shafts. Unfortunatly I couldnt do it with the back as they are not the same set-up as the front. So the hex adapters are thicker on the front now, so the front wheel width is slightly wider than the back. But its fixed and that shouldnt ever happen again.
@MrMeDos2 ай бұрын
Nice. The wider stance handles better for sure

Excuse me kind sir, I have a small question, do you know what mod the pinion gear is you used? I know the hot racing spur is .5 mod so I'm unsure. I see you use a sleeve to make it 5mm but this is my first time doing this and was wondering if you could drop a link or name for pinion gear? Im putting in a castle system with my son and would like to follow your build, any help would be fantastic 😊

They make 5mm bore 0.5mod pinions guys. They sell them on ebay and amazon. You will need a 1/8 bore to 5mm bore sleeve and one of these. a.co/d/cubaQBc

Love the vids bro bro if you want to get in to the speed run for platform 100mph with little to no money WL toys 12409 144001 are better platforms for speed running you can run mod 1 gears and gear it up but to be simpler I would just recommend you throw everything in from the armara in the Wl toys and with the 5200 kv go 27/22 on gearing you will definitely hit 105 + my guy idk if you can gear up the armara but Kv affects gearing . That’s why low Kv motors get better results
@MrMeDos3 ай бұрын
Arrma groms are super easy to work on, love the platform. the 4400kv can is 4s capable so is the esc if I truly want to hit 100+mph, but I want a stable on road basher with no heat issues. The sweet spot for these is about 45-60mph with a nice throttle curve and can go in a straight line in my opinion. I obtain that, my goal is met. the mohave is the best one yet. the 57t spur and 24t pinion sits nice, you can gear up to a 29t pinion on these.
