But, I respect and trust your opinions Philippe as I've certainly noticed that you look for quality and value in the tools and devices that use. An example being Victron, Makita and Stihl. They're brands that I like and use myself. You kept it all interesting and your description and review was excellent! So happy that you and Claude have got the engine turning. Claude is a wealth of knowledge. Seeing Odin checking out the wheels and tires on the dumper and putting his stamp of approval on it all was joyous. 😊 Every time we see him, he does something that makes you smile or laugh. Hey Bryan, We have had many offers already for products but this is the first we accepted because we had been looking at it already and had a good feeling about it. It is a difficult decision since we don't want to ruin our channel with advertising in the videos. But at the same time if it is a good product we do want to dedicate some video time to it since it does help us in our daily life here 😀We are very happy that you liked it!! The old tractor is turning 3/4 now, almost every day i go down and try to turn it a little more. We have ordered front wheel and fuel tubes + fittings 2ndhand for the tractor. If we do not get it turning we will have to open it up and see what is wrong. This lifestyle for Odin is exactly what we wanted, he is experiencing a lot of things we wouldn't have been able to give him where we used to live. I will tell Anicia, because she makes Jam and tons of other things! Me and Odin are very lucky we have a chef in the house 😂 Bon Dimanche!

@@DomaineSauvage Yes, being brought up in an environment that is peaceful, wholesome and being close to nature is a blessing. You and Anicia have chosen the right path. I can also attest to having a good ‘chef’ at home. Nora makes something out of nothing quite regularly as well. Being that I’m older now, I don’t burn it off as easy as I used to, so I have to unfortunately sacrifice that extra bite or two 😆 . Enjoy the rest of your day and coming evening as well. See you next week mon ami!

Congratulation on the Luba, it's a perfect sponsorship, like you say and the best review I've seen. Interesting that it's using the RTK station rather than GPS to navigate. Better accuracy, I guess, for when there's no/little direct view of the satellites ? What did June & Lucie think of it ? Good that the tractors engine moves, does Claude have a special mix of oils for seized engines ? The house stonework looks wonderful - rather than looking at the landscape view I'd be turning around and admiring the stonework instead 😊
@DomaineSauvage2 ай бұрын
It uses GPS on both and makes a calculation between them to be able to be very accurate when moving around the yard, that is what i understand about it 😅 June and Lucie didn't think much of it but the chickens will sometimes swarm it because they learned they can find fleeing bugs around it... He uses Petroleum to unseize engines, the best for it apparently. Haha just today i was looking at how much better the stonework already is 😅
@Daytona22 ай бұрын
@@DomaineSauvage 😂 those chickens...
@smc18972 ай бұрын
To answer your question about RTK, it combines with GPS to provide the 1cm accuracy. For loss of GPS, the unit has a pair of cameras looking forward. It does feature matching between the two, and during daytime it maintains a pretty accurate map of the area for as far as it can see. If the GPS goes away, the vision map will buy you up to 150-ish feet, and you only need to find a few seconds of clear sky to reset that distance. It's quite impressive, but any night jobs won't be able to use it, and the unit will stall if it loses GPS. Easy enough fix, though, just do lossy areas during daylight.
@Daytona22 ай бұрын
@@smc1897 😮Oh wow, it uses image recognition - that's impressive tech. Thanks for the info 👍 I guess the ultimate solution to the mower losing GPS and the ~150' image recognition (data?/processing?) limit, would be to RDF triangulate from 2-3 RTK distributed around a cutting area.
@smc18972 ай бұрын
@@Daytona2 I'm not sure it works that way. The RTK station (reference station) watches the phases of the inbound GPS signals, triangulates off of the difference between them, and broadcasts the correction between what it hears that way, against what it hears as a GPS. The Luba then assumes it hears the same GPS stuff as the reference station, and applies those corrections. Adding more RTK references probably won't help since it's the robot's GPS that's the issue, not the reference. In the U.S. at least, the reference broadcast is good for over a mile or two. In .EU, it's less. I always figured the mowers would work the way you suggested - but an RTK dev kit turns out to be something you can buy on Amazon for cheaper than triangulation would cost, and at longer range!

Amazing work from both. It's all looking more and more beautiful each day. I would use that giant metal circle you found for decoration, hanging from a wall or to make an enormous chandelier. It's funny how faithful those chickens are following you more than the dog. Ha!

You house looks fantastic with the render removed!!! The Luba seems to be working very well.

Bonjour! Not long found your wonderful channel, and like many I’ve been binge watching to catch up! I’m still a little behind, and it seems that between you, Claude and your neighbours you have sussed the McCormick, but if you ever find yourself in need of another direct avenue of knowledge, my dad has rebuilt several 4/5? old tractors from very bad condition, including an old McCormick which was literally just scrap metal when it arrived. He loves sharing his knowledge and loves talking tractors 😂 ! Your hard work and vision are brilliant and uplifting to watch. Take care and the very best to your little family, although it seems you, Odín and the cockerel are rather outnumbered by the ladies in the family! ❤

Hello Hannah, when we start working on it hopefully this winter you can always comment when you see something wrong or advice. We read every comment and try to respond it was just now a bit busy with the viral video.

Haha I just see the chickens hitching a ride, if not the cat 😂 As my friends cat does on the vacuum cleaner. 😂😂 I like how it’s an all wheel drive.

We love the mower it has and still is a great help. Saves me time!

When my Dad worked on old cars, he took them apart piece by piece to see what could be repaired and what would have to be replaced.

Dig the dirt from around the frame of wheels then try to lift the tractor again

So i just find this channel and video. What do you guys do for a living? And how much money do you approximately need for a farm like this? We are also tired of the city life and are planning to move for a simple way of life!
@DomaineSauvage2 ай бұрын
Hey, prices vary a lot depending on size and location. It wasn't easy to find this one since we wanted the land connected as one to the farmhouse. The only advice i can give is start looking on the internet at a specific area you like and start to learn the prices, and you can negotiate the price! For now we live of our savings and whatever KZbin brings in (which is not enough 😉) but we are hopeful we can grow and we have other plans to bring income as well, if that fails i am a self employed plumber so i can go back to that easy enough.

What have been the interactions between the chickens and the Lubo?
@DomaineSauvage2 ай бұрын
Haha don't get me started on that, they once swarmed the robot near the chicken coop because bugs were coming up behind it 😂 But it spots them perfectly and goes around same with Odin or me 😂
@pgrosebud20122 ай бұрын
@@DomaineSauvage I am glad that the Lubo provides them with more bugs to eat. Now they won't need to follow you around so much, maybe?

i take it you have to charge the awd series up????????
@DomaineSauvage2 ай бұрын
It mows until it reaches 15% left on its battery and then it goes back to the charger to charge until 80% and then it will go out again to finish the job. Once it has finished it task it will return again to charge but this time to 100%. This all happens automatically of course.

It mulches so the grass cuttings return to the grass bed.
