1. Kazasız belasız- when my sister goes for a trip I will say this other than kendine iyi bak 2. Tam Benlik- next time when I receive a present from someone I will use this phrase as an appreciation 3. Hiç işim olmaz - when my Turkish husband asks me to do something that I don’t feel like doing I can say this lol😂 I join some fb Turkish learning groups and subscribe to Turkish learning KZbin channels to learn this language. I noticed that this video was made 2 years ago. Hope it’s not too late to say thank you for making these videos, they are really helpful.

Keep making such videos. You are an amazing teacher. I've just started watching your videos and I realized that your lessons are helping me with the basic grammar. As a beginner I face a lot of difficulties since the entire language is a new thing for me. I am an Indian and I know three languages Hindi, Urdu and English. Learning Turkish is my new born obsession and thus I am hoping to provide it some nourishment. I really want to be able to understand and speak Turkish. I would also like to thank you wholeheartedly for the lovely description of each of the phrases. You make this virtual class much interesting than I had ever imagined.

My fav phrases of the day are Bakalım ( because i don't want to let down the person with rude accent), tam benlik ( because I observed so much which is best for me ), hiç işim olmaz(because I'm not much desiring person ) . The second part of the assignment is : I learn through so many ways like i watch Turkish series , movies, or dramas with subtitles to under the accent , i listen turkish songs also I used duolingo app , i talked to my Turkish friends through call and messages in order to improve my Turkish . The last but not least I learn through the channel of my beautiful and kind teacher Muki ♥️

My 3 favorite phrases from this video- 1- "Varsayalım" (literally, "Let's see if it's possible/if it's there) - sounds more pro-active + more unique vs. "hayde, bakalım!" 2- "Kazasız, belasız (olsun?)" - wishing someone a journey without troubles or accidents is more poetic than "iyi tatiller" 3- "İyi günlerde kullan!" - a more affectionate way to say "güle güle kullan" - because you're wishing someone to use their purchase in/for better days/good times - not just with smile/laughter. Is there a phrase book with these poetic kind of well wishes in Turkish?

gerçekten orta seviyelere gelince türkçe dil kanallarına yönelmek daha mantıklı, en azından ingilizce için. çünkü türkçe düşünmeyi kafamdan tam olarak atamadım ve konuşurken bazı zorluklar yaşıyordum, mesela sizin öğrettiğiniz acaba gibi... o yüzden sizi izlemek ingilizcemi diğer kanallara göre daha çok ilerletiyor. çok teşekkürler :))

3 ways I practice Turkish: 1- 🎼Translate a Turkish song and upload the lyrics to www.LyricsTranslate.com (videos/translations) or www.LyricsTraining.com (a singing/fill-in-the-blank game). Songs are catchy, poetic and often have slang I wouldn't use otherwise. 2- ✏Carry a swatch of 3x5" un-ruled index cards, folded in half, with 1 side for English and the other for the Turkish translation (hole punch 1 corner, fasten together with a binder ring or safety pin). Each index card represents a different part of speech or grammatical category to help separate these language building blocks in my mind + to see at-a-glance if I need to learn more adjectives etc. I keep the swatch in a plastic ziplock bag in my purse and try to add to it whenever I hear/read Turkish. 3- 💯Write practice sentences with new words 3x for memory. I use www.WordReference.com, www.TurEng.com and Manisa Turkish for translation help mostly. All available as a Chrome extension button for your browser and as a phone app.

I love how you teach people how to speak Turkish! I wanna add something on "ya", you can also use it by itself while listening something very interesting. Like you are with your friends and one of them is telling you very interesting things. You just look at them and say "yaa". More like "oh really?". Or you can use it with sarcasm. You can use the same "yaa" when you are not interested at all!

@@michellebates528 You're absolutely right. The word order is different but just like me being a native Turkish and a non-native English speaker, it gets easier as you work at it. You'll see how fun it is when you realize your brain is working faster for you to pull new words and patterns from memory. It's great that you are bolstering your structured learning with tv shows. Öncelikle, bu videonu çok beğendim, hocam. Ben venezuela'lıyım ve 4 seneden beri türkçe öğrenmeye çalışıyorum ama daha olmadı, hocam. Deniyorum bari. Tamam. En sevdiğim ifadeler: 1) bakarız 2) tam senlik /benlik. 3) hiç işim olmaz (actually I didn't know about this one) Nereden türkçe öğreniyorum: 1) aslında Turkiye'de yaşıyorum ve eşim türk ama biz genelde evde ıngilizce konuşuyoruz. O yüzden biraz türkçe konuşmak zor oldu. Bir de çünkü şuanda çalışmıyorum (ingilizce öğretmeniyim ) ..hep evdeyim...öğrenmem öyle... 2) oğlum türkçe konuşmaya başladı. Ondan ben de öğreniyorum. 3) artık senin buldum ve senin videolarından çok hoşlanıyorum. . . Hayırlı olsun.

I love the sound of the word (without being a pessimist) Since I love Turkish language a lot, I try to teach myself by: watching Turkish channels, music (songs new and oldies) such as: Cam Adrian, Ayten Alpman, Emre Aydın etc. Also to learn reading Mr Orhan Pamuk's books I learn a lot of some old traditions or terms that are no too commun nowadays. Lastly, I love to watch some Turkish series, especially the ones with some historical facts. Thank for being such a wonderful teacher.

Hi. Thank you for creating these kind of learning videos, its easy to grasp for people like me who wants to understand how to use the words and phrases properly. In this video, my 3 favorite words/ phrases are : acaba, bakalim, ve kazasiz belasiz. I compiled my favorite songs thru my Spotify playlist, and downloaded the lytics w/ english translations, and its on repeat.😊 , I also watch dizis and films repeatedly, watch out for words, look up its meaning, and when Im feeling brave, I try to remove the subtitles, and then write the Turkish words that I understand, to see if I can at least grap the gist of whatever the character is saying.. I started following anything Turkish in IG, read thru the captions.. And of course, watch videos like this one. Oh, I also have Duolingo which I practice on everyday... I recently downloaded an ebook, kürk Mantolu Madonna too.

Merhaba cok guzel Tesekkuler Kutlarim! It's been wonderful watching the three videos. My favourite phrases are Kutlarim Yazik Beklemekten agac oldum (this wasn't on your video) it's similar to using Ner'desin sen, ya.. As well as watching all Muki's KZbin videos, I have a Teach Yourself app and a book 'Complete Turkish Beginners to Intermediate Course' which is used with the app. Also I have completed Muki's Learn Turkish Beginners Stage 1 which is a 7 day challenge online course. Kendine iyi bak.

Favorite phrases: acaba, sorun değıl, kasasız belasız. Resources: watching Turkish shows (Erkenci Kuş, Bay Yanlis, No. 309, etc.), apps (MemRise, Language Transfer, Transparent Language), KZbin channels (Muki's, Turkishle, LearnTurkishvia, others), look up words and phrases that I hear in series and don't know yet.
