He makes all these shots look so natural... I think that's a big difference especially with Nadal: for me seeing Rafa doing some passing shots the reaction is like "wow, incredible", while looking at Roger is more a quite contemplation wondering: "is this really so easy for you?"

I notice that difference too. And also…Nadal is a work horse on the court…at least he tries to be. But he’s playing with his non-dominant hand and he runs himself so ragged that he’s had quite a few injuries in his career. Federer on the other hand is more like a conductor. The ball, the racket, the opponent….they all do exactly as he says and he’s just up there waving his hands bending everything and everyone to his will.

I like this video of Federer doing passing shots, because it is often because his opponents is playing good tennis, that Federer is allowed to hit those unreal passing shots ! It leads to high quality points from both players.
