Here's a weird tip. You can connect your phone to your deck with bluetooth and any audio you play on your phone will play on the deck. Another convenient way to listen to a podcast or music while gaming.

This works a little, but anything that comes out of my headphones pauses every few seconds making it pretty much unusable. Maybe it works with wired headphones and speakers, but it doesn't look like it works with Bluetooth headphones.

Steam deck is the greatest handheld of all time, at least for me. You guys just don't know how long I've been waiting for a handheld that allow yous to play 3rd party games on the go. I've had a GB Advance, DS, DSI, 3DS, Switch, PSP, and PS Vita. Being able to play GTA4, GTA5, COD, Just Cause, day one automatically was a dream and now it's a reality. I dont have to hope and wonder if a certain game is coming out for a specific handheld anymore because if its coming to PC then it's coming to the Steam Deck.

I've had the original Gameboy, Gameboy Advance, Nintendo DS, and Nintendo 3DS. Sadly never got around to psp, Vita, or that Sega handheld. I've also got an Anbernic device. The Steam Deck is an absolute game changer. It's the most exciting thing I've purchased in years.

One thing to maybe do, is depending on the type of game you are playing or what you are doing, is you can put a shortcut on your desktop that leads you to game save folders. You can copy save game files, rename backups, and even if you set it up on a LAN with your main pc and set up a network drive, you can manually transfer save game files between your PC and steamdeck! My cloud data refused to sync when I tried to play Deep Rock Galactic one time. This save file was like 50 hours past where it was on my deck, so there was no way I was just gonna eat the loss of time. I hadnt used the desktop mode before this incident, but it really opened my eyes to just how cool the steamdeck is!

Just ordered my Deck yesterday! Can't wait. It will actually be my first time owning a proper handheld gaming console. Never had a game boy or PSP or anything back in the day. I'm just starting with the base model and a few basic accessories... and of course a dbrand skin/screen protector. I have a couple of 2TB external HDD's, so I'll try using one of those (through a USB hub) before upgrading the SSD. I'm gonna wait on the Killswitch until they come out with some more attachments for it, which they have hinted at. Eventually I'm planning to get a folding keyboard for it so I can play games like Factorio or Timberborn. Of course if anybody has any suggestions for accessories that you believe are Must Have, I'd love to hear them.

You should really add touch menus in steam input. They are totally game changer for non gamepad games and games with lot of inputs. For those who dont know its a way to add infinite inputs in your trackpads. Basiacally you can set trackpad to use touch menu, set if you want radial or box menu and add lots of inputs. When you touch the pad in game it will open menu in corner and you can click any slot that you created and it will create input. Also theres lot of icons for the slot. Like in witcher 1 I have setup slots for spells and I added icon representing every cast. Also you can open another touch menu with the menu. So that means you can have infinite inputs. In witcher one I use right trackpad to wield silver and steel swords and also slots for other weapons from 1 to 3. On the left trackpad I have slots for casts, quick slots for items from inventory and also save icon slot that opens another menu with quicksave and quickload.
