There really is no "National Beer" for Australia. It's different state by state. Most known Beers would be XXXX (Qld), Victoria Bitter (Vic), Coopers (SA), Swan Draught (WA). Great video guys, even I learnt a bit about my own country, cheers.

my family immigrated to Australia I got a job shortly after we arrived, I was sitting at my desk and turned to open the desk drawer when I saw an enormous Huntsman spider ( almost the size of my hand) crawling down the wall I leapt up in the air pushed my chair to the ground and bolted for the ladies toilets, when I got the all clear to come back to my desk I went to shut the drawer and it must have been underneath and if fell with a thump onto the floor it was loud. Happy to say I am quite used to them now and don't panic.

I'd love to see you guys get into more niche Aussie stuff... Look up "Nick Cummins - The Honey Badger" and see what you make of that, he's a total legend and was briefly "the Bachelor" for Australia. The national highway (1) runs around the perimeter of the continent… it’s not a “spider like” network as suggested in the graphic. Camels were brought to Australia by Afghans during the Gold rush in Western Australia, 1880s. The Afghans made more money transporting water than finding gold. Nic reactions, fellas. Ok, there are lots of errors in the source video. Highway 1, the longest national highway in the world, is nothing like that shown in the picture with criss-crossing roads (how could that even be considered a single highway, anyway?), but a road that circles the nation. There are pink lakes outside Western Australia. I visited one in Victoria recently. How can he he say that only 25% of species have been discovered so far? HI, technically Mel Gibson is American, his family moved to Australia, I believe, to avoid the draft for members of the family for the Vietnam conflict. However get him to say 'birthday' and you will know where he grew up and has deep roots. Speaking of movie's, Australia invented the feature length movie, we were making feature length films nearly a decade before Hollywood. Not only is Fosters morally banned for consumption, it is not brewed in Australia and hasn't been for?????...30 maybe 40 years..only two countries brew Fosters...England and USA. WE don't have a national beer, its just advertising for tourist. You were probably thinking of Victoria Bitter ,VB. Howard Florey developed the ability to use penicillin, before scientist knew of the propertied but Florey developed how to administer it. saved tens of thousand of Allied soldiers during WW2. WiFi developed in Australia, Surf Lifesaving.. Lawrence Hargraves in Wollongong, was the first human to fly by non balloon or other gas or hot air, but with a kite.Wright Bros. were first mechanically aided and longest first flight He basically developed the wing uplift process aircraft use today. I could go on as there are medical and agricultural research, design and invention which this country is at the forefront, but will leave it there:) by the way thx for the video and interest...

Hungry Jacks is an awesome story. 1 Aussie businessman bought the rights to launch Burger King in Australia in the early 1970's - but found he couldn't use the name Burger King because a small Adelaide Burger Shop was already called Burger King - and the owner refused to sell them the name. So they came up with the name Hungry Jacks. In the 70's and 80's you could find Hungry Jacks mostly in Western Australia and Queensland, with one or two stores in NSW and Vic. Fast forward to the late 90's and Burger King in the US decided to screw over the owners of the Hungry Jacks franchises by finally acquiring the Burker King trademark and opening it's own separate stores in NSW and Victoria. There were a few Hungry Jacks in those states by now so you had the moronic situation of a Burger King on one corner and a Hungry Jacks on another corner with almost identical livery and burgers. Hungry Jacks Australia took Burger King to court - and won a $43 million dollar settlement LOL!! Eventually Burger King and Hungry Jacks kissed and made up and Hungry Jacks Australia took over all Burger King operations in Australia. It is now a major national burger chain. As for Beer - each state traditional has its own beer. Tooheys in NSW, VB in Victoria, XXXX in Queensland, Cascade in Tasmania, West End in South Australia, Emu in Western Australia. Each of these breweries had their flagship product and a number of smaller varieties that most Aussies grew up with. But today the craft/hipster/IPA market has exploded (like it has everywhere else) and there are literally hundreds of small-batch, boutique crap on the shelves nowadays. The biggest/most popular beers still remain amongst the more traditional beers - VB, XXXX (Bitter, Gold, etc), Tooheys (Red, Blue, Extra Dry etc), Cascade etc plus their newer stablemates like Hahn, Boags, Coopers, James Squire, Swan etc

The story about the Sydney Opera House being inspired by the segments if an orange is a myth. The sails of the Opera House were inspired by the sails of the yachts that compete & sail on the harbour.
@haydenposnansky968
@haydenposnansky968 2 жыл бұрын
Yes inspired by sails, but the sails wouldn't work bcoz of the dimensions. So while eating an orange he realised that a sphere can be cut into many different size triangles therefore still representing the sail shape originally intended. Therefore the statement is true that all pieces can be put back into a sphere.

Hey guys, just to add to another comment here’s saying there’s many active volcanoes in aus there is also an active volcano in a place called mount gambier in south Australia. It’s actually a part of the place n if it ever did erupt the place would be in some serious trouble. Mount gambier is also the home of a land mark called the blue lake which changes colour a few times a year no more than for the summer when it turns a very mystic dark rich blue. There are pics online if you wanna see goggle the blue lake.

We also have a rabbit proof fence in West Oz over 2000 miles long. So our 2 longest fences combined stretch over 5 500 miles. As for the Sydney Opera house making a sphere when all buildings are combined is a myth. The widths ,height and angles do not align, as is easily seen while viewing the structure. It was inspired by a sphere -an orange to be specific. (And that's where the myth started).

So this close to big suburbia this Precinct has resident mob of Grey Kangaroos the children are so used to seeing the Roos ob the s hool grounds that they don't even look at them as they grasp the grasses. The family has a male Grey and his female roo regularly pop in for a breakfast lawn munch ( like this morning) along with the Ringing possum who,lives in the possum house, the Bush Turkey & Mrs Turkey have just had their chick's hatch znd said Chick's have adopted the Family's lying chicken's (chooks as a surrogate flock😁 while the resident Bandicoot tries every night to dig into the Chicken Coup to feast on the laying mash.(hasn't succeeded in months because of the bricks around the our at night to thwart the cheeky but cute creature. All this in close suburbia BUT that is not the norm In many Australian suburbs just happens it is at this zre on the Sunshine Coast
