Next time please visit my city of Glasgow! One day I will visit Lubbock to get my picture with the Buddy Holly statue. When I was at the 50th Anniversary Tribute Concert I met a lady who saw the show in 1959 who said there was a large Hispanic community and most of the audience were there to see Richie Valens not Buddy Holly! Well, that was awkward but I am glad they were there and celebrating. It reminds me of the American Legion dance in the movie "La Bamba" somewhat. Good times. They should be proud. Their boy changed history for Hispanics in the U.S. Well done Ritchie, well done indeed.
