I remember this video from a while ago. The servants quarters and the basement had all the paranormal events. Awesome to hear the child's voice in the basement. This is the oldest place I've seen you explore. Fascinating and wonderful to feel the history. This Chateau is absolutely enchanting. Thank you.

The wicker carriage is circa 1840's. It was attached to a rocking horse and the children would pretend to be adults heading into town. Such a fabulous thing to find and worth around £900-1000 in that condition. Also the shoes are 1920's in design. My favorite abandoned chateau. ❤

Yes chamber pots with stands. The cabinets with holes on top are dry sinks the pitcher and bowl go with. The bowl goes in the hole on top the pitcher contains fresh water. The cabinet doors on bottom hold the chamber pots on the stands out of sight when not in use.

The sheer size of this mansion, the beautiful staircase and huge windows along with some antiques, makes it one of your best explores yet! If the sons are wealthy as you said, I wonder why they abandoned it, instead of doing some maintenance work and keeping the grounds around the mansion a little more clean! Thank you Dave, for striving to bring us the best of your explores!💙💚

I have heard from many forums and those who restore these places that a lot of the abandoned mansions, particularly around France do have wealthy owners but they don't live in these buildings as the taxes are so high they would be broke/bankrupt very quickly. So they sit and slowly decay.
@1MartinWaite3 ай бұрын
When the owners of such homes die the death taxes upon inheritance are that large it’s not worthwhile for the family to claim the houses as they would need to pay over 50% value of the house and then they like this one needs that much work doing to it to bring it up to today’s standard that house worth £500,000 would cost twice that to make it up to date and pay the taxes so they would rather nature take it back.😊😊😊😊😊

This Chateau is beautiful. All the rooms and the furniture are amazing. The woodwork and fireplaces are gorgeous as well. The wallpaper I love the most. You don't see those designs or the flocked crushed velvet. Great explore Dave. Being honest I hope someone from the family that owns this property sees this and goes back to claim it and restores it to the original beauty. Have a great day and safe travels

Those upper rooms in the attic or loft, would have been the servants sleeping quarters. And the stairs leading down to the blue walled area, would have been the servants stairs to the kitchens, outside, washroom, linen closets, etc.
