50 Years of BART | Along the Way

It is JULY 7,2024 BART, at most keep it's promise of fast reliable service. The wife and I have been riding Bart since the beginning. Always safe and on time. People complain of delays, this is beyond the control of Bart. Most of the time it will be a medical emergency. Or somebody on the track way, or somebody doing something stupid on a train. This is a problem on all transit systems world wide.

Man, it looks SO much different back then! A lot of places weren't even recognizable

People don't realize that most of the Bay Area sprawl was built in the 50s, 60s and 70s when the cities started banning or severely restricting construction. Dublin has long been among the fastest growing cities in America while it barely existed back then. Constricting development in the core cities just needlessly pushed development into the hills and created a bunch of pollution from the new commuters.
