Very nice job! Used to live in Glendale and Surprise years ago. Just more than an hour to Sedona, Payson for outdoor camping. The winter time is wonderful there while everywhere is cold and snow. I used artificial turf for my gazebo ground (love the shape but take more time to build) instead of concrete slab and this helps release heat. Hey, how about a misty system and lantern string that every Arizonan loves to have in the backyard? I miss the concrete block fence there :-D
@taylor.g.deloye7 ай бұрын
Ha! Good ideas, I had a mister system but it broke. The string lights are always a nice addition!

Why not using 4x4 post? Was 4x6 more for the look or do you really think it holds better, dont you have a lot of weight on top ?

Just for the aesthetic, 4x4 works too and they are slightly less expensive!

Your existing shade structure is anchored to the eve ? Did I see that right?
@taylor.g.deloye2 жыл бұрын
I’m not 100% sure what you mean- the beige sun shade is weaved through the top 2x4s and then anchored into eye bolts in the 4x6 posts with nylon rope. I hope that helps!

Hello! Sorry to hear that happened. I am in Arizona. I recommend contacting a local handyman to fix finish the pergola for you. You may want to research what legal options you have regarding the unfinished work. Thanks for watching!
@Ironbuket2 жыл бұрын
This was wrong because the weight of the main cross beams should be carried directly by the uprights and not by bolts? This is how not to do it acccording to other videos Ive watched.
@taylor.g.deloye2 жыл бұрын
It’s definitely not wrong, lag bolts are rated for 1,000s of pounds, the beams are 25lbs.
