very cool! I couldn’t get an Art Soda before they sold out … but I kinda like the idea of the Chase sticker on the outside. If you find one, great! If not, at least you’re not inadvertently buying three or four commons. (it WILL take away the fun of you soda rips, though) ☹

Exactly. It seems like a lot of people feel like it’s dumb that Funko wouldn’t want people buying multiples, but that only helps them in the short run. I completely agree it takes away the fun though, especially for me since I’ve done soooo many big soda videos.

Really awesome massive haul!! That 10 inch black light Spidey and the comic cover are both super cool!! S’more Boy is cute and love that Animal with the drums!! Definitely not a fan of the chase sticker being on the outside of the van but I’ve also always said that if it’s a Pop with a chance at a chase I think they should have covers that aren’t easy to remove that hides whether it’s a chase or not! The whole fun at least for us is to hunt the chase and the surprise and excitement when you pull it!

Yeah, I definitely agree it ruins the fun. Especially for people like us who open them on a channel lol. Hopefully it’s just something they are testing out to get some data and then they go back to the old way.

I ordered 1 soda from Hot Topicand got a whole case. I kept the chase amd a common and gave away the other commons.

That’s so funny! That same thing actually happened to me a couple of years ago with them. I ordered like 4 different single sodas and they sent me 4 cases as well as a completely random loungefly bag lol. I contacted them and they told me to just keep it all haha.

Hi there The Funko 411, i really like the Spiderman black light. Not the big 1, because I need that 1 to finish e my collection. + The Abigail signed pop, and the Animal pop ft the Muppets. I have that 1 coming in the mail. The Spiderman Comic cover pop. The good thing about that one is you get the Pop, and the comic book cover, and the best of all you get the hard stack that covers all of them. I also like Art The Clown. I dont like the chase sticker on the outside of the can, in fact I would rather that Pop figures dont have the chase sticker on the outside. I think you should have to go to funko to find the chase variation. Hot wheels does not put a big sticker to designate the chase and it makes hunting better

That would be cool if Funko did something similar to the treasure hunts. Hide a little logo of Freddy somewhere on the box so it’s not easy to spot.

Same here lame that they have to mark it down ruins the fun and mystery. I feel like the cans that are not mark down as chase won’t really have much value most of the time it will be around retail price knowing it’s a common. 😂

I assumed they were doing the stickers on the soda was to cut down on people ripping them open and leaving them in store

Yeah, I think that was likely a factor, but I think they are trying to get a better understanding of the true market for Sodas so that they can figure out how to proceed with the line. That’s purely my speculation though.

How would this new way prove anything to Funko? If they do a limited piece count Soda that's a Hot Topic exclusive, every one will be allocated to those stores. Funko won't know if the unmarked commons all sold at full retail price or if they ended up on the Buy 1, Get 3 Free clearance shelves in the back.

I think the main issue is that sodas were at their height of popularity during 2020-2022 when people were willing to buy tons of multiples. And I think this is what caused Funko to increase the piece counts. They misunderstood the demand. I think the only way to understand the demand is to see if people are willing to buy the figure even if they know it’s not a Chase. With the Terrifier soda, I think it showed that they could sell 10k commons. I know some stores may still have stock of the commons, but Hot Topic and Funko both sold out and I haven’t seen any in stores anymore personally.

@@TheFunko411 Or could be ppl were fishing out the chases before via weighing them or just popping them open in store. Leaving the rest of ppl with no chance at chase. Funko thinks now they're going to sell more 6 packs I bet.
