The Lotus Carlton is a proper legend, especially back when it launched. A production saloon capable of 177 mph back in the 90s was insane!

@@MrNussbuss exactly, and all done in a Vauxhall! I remember that a team of criminals were using one for a very rapid getaway, the police wanted the car banned haha! There's a great clip on KZbin of the polices (possibly in Sweden?) attempted chase of the Opel version. I think the police are in a Saab turbo (reasonably quick for the time) and once the Lotus clocks them it just disappears into the distance. It was on a motorway and, unfortunately for the cops, that was it's ideal habitat. Pretty sure the cops were doing well over a 100mph when they first spot it and the Lotus takes off like the cops weren't even moving haha! As you can probably tell, the Lotus Carlton is still my dream car!

@Furio same thing, the Vauxhall Carlton was called the Opel Omega in Europe so the lotus stuff went on them as well, as being GM, the only thing that’s different is the badges. :)

Finally, having subjected his testicles to limits and pressures few have imagined behind the wheel of an Omega or virtually anything alse they turned to diamond. Presumably these will be sold to fund some implanted ocular enhancements and real sized lego man "locked on wheel" hands to take advantage of the nitrous system and front wheel drive hub motor system planned. Certainly on the edge, looking fantastic being wrestled this model. Familiar with the Carlton, not this Sierra-esque Lotus creation - new favourite!

This is the Lotus Omega, as it was sold on mainland Europe. On the UK it was named Lotus Carlton ;)

@@NeonAstralOfficial It is a shared model. From the time when Lotus was part of the GM group alongside Opel and they were comissioned to work on the Omega/Carlton for a sportier version. This was the final product with naming differences just being a case of the place where the cars were being sold ;)
