Mfw this man screams at a non-profit organization that they are "blood brokers" and they are trying to "make money on this blood." It is illegal to sell human body parts for a profit (hence, why you can only sell plasma). No organization like this is run by volunteers. It requires way too much money to run and large amounts of trained and experienced staff. This company operates the same way as the American Red Cross. They sell the blood to only to cover costs.

Ben, at 11:42 - in the UK, our Building Regs force us to use 6mm toughened glass (instead of 4mm) when the glass area exceeds 2.5m². [Anything over 1.3m length and height] This will stop the glass flexing. You could also use SKN176 glass (solar control, blue tint) for privacy and to keep rooms cool without needing to use AC as much. In the UK, it costs me £65/m² for 4mm T and £95/m² for 6mm T. £145/m² for SKN176, so if US is anything similar its well worth the upgrade.

Not hating at all, but I feel like this doesn’t necessarily make sense from a business perspective tho. Those hotels don’t charge much per night, at least compared to labor expenses and overall cost. Spending money on new glass that provides comfort for the guest and reduces damage may net some money in the long term, but not enough to justify the purchase in the short term. Hotels have razor thin margins, so it makes sense that they’d probably just replace the current glass with the same glass from the same glass company.
