When I was a kid, people would ask "What do you want to be when you grow up?" and I'd always say, stone faced and full of self-assurance, "A Rockstar". If someone were to ask me that same question now (no one seems to bother) I'd answer, "A Session Man" with all the same confidence. You're a hero to us all Tom. Long may you reign.

I'm a solo musician but this past Saturday, I got together with a band to jam and they had another guitar player, and at one point I started telling him about a guy named Tom Bukovac, and his face lit up, "Hell yes"....He told me you helped get him through the 1st part of Covid watching your channel. I told him, Hell I bought his T-shirt (Plexi Soul) and the Plexi Soul Cd. Tom, I know you probably know this already, but you have sincerely touched a ton of people, (including myself). I've said it before, we are all privileged to be able to have a seat at the table and just enjoy the show. God bless you!!!!!

One thing about this channel is that in a world full of esoteric, fancy, complex guitar music it's easy to forget the visceral, emotional impact of good old proper Rock & Roll... and Uncle Larry is one of the native speakers preserving the dialect not only for posterity, but for us to use and abuse in the wild. It's a big deal man!

We’ll Tom, I’m just at the end of 200 with Dan, I’ll try & be short but listening to you guys conversation & picks knock me out because first off I’m 70 & in southern oregon you didn’t get the latest like in the cities but I’m not anywhere close to the musicianship now days but friends use to tease me about having to show different parts in different genres but in your interview, one group I loved but know one I knew was aware of music that wasn’t on the radio but the band that I loved but no one had heard Giant and as I was watching your 200th I never knew who what Dan Huff really look like but I followed his name as a producer etc. but your reminiscing just about brought me to tears those parts you sampled not being a accomplished musician but I feel because the variety of band discussions which being 70 I’m not a 60’s only type I’ve like something out of all guitarist from George to joe to Steve m. Larry c. to Al d. to ritenour Eric J. On & on Mr. Beck ended up being all around player but thank Tom I’ve been with you since your 2nd or 3rd and your playing Tom has taken me because you are pretty much the epitome of what grabs me as a little bit of them all so hope my comment wasn’t to long your what I respect of musicians that don’t brag, action always speaks louder than words & less can mean more so you’ve got a senior citizen fan club

Love this. I've played since I was 15. Served my country for 32 years, once I realised I couldn't afford school, or live off bar pay on a band, lol. I now am divorced, have a service dog, quit playing after Iraq in 2007, and one day I pulled out the junk and plug in an amp with a guitar. I missed out on all the licks and tricks, and 90s copy cats, and now, I watch people enjoy the world, and talk about heroes or influences. I also now play alot again in a country band, and the music police still ask me why. I tell them that I can play this or that, but mostly I just want to stay in tune, and be heard over the drummer and steel player. I like things simple. So as all my bla bla may not seem relevant, you are! Your attitude is simple and you make people feel important by being you. I can't copy you, nor would I tell others to try, because that's not what you and some you deal with preach. Thanks for being 54 and I'm 58, lol, and I love your stuff here and over there, and wherever. It's been a tough life like many have, but music often is my therapy instead of other methods. Thanks

Been lurking long enough mainly because I can only repeat all the accolades you receive from your fans on this channel. As someone who grew up with Cream in High School and got to see their farewell tour and was a huge fan, I would have to agree with your assessment of their music. Clapton was searching for something, and he found it with Derek and the Dominoes. That band was the … Jim Gordon, Carl Radle and Bobby Whitlock … Huge fan of The Allman Brothers too… But Lynyrd Skynyrd was just so much more… took me a while to get it. Keep up the good work!

When the lockdowns started, I was teaching guitar remotely from my home office down here in central TX, frankly kinda depressed and uninspired. I watched your first “Corona Lessons” upload and had no idea that these videos and your insights would become such friendly presence and wellspring of inspiration. Even inspired me to pony up for a 64 SG standard “chopper” a few years back, and get more serious about my harmonic knowledge and chord voicings. What's great is I discovered you and Guthrie independently several years ago and found you both inspiring (and still do), but in completely different stylistic ways. When I want rock and riffin', Uncle Lar always has something to offer. Guthrie has that bluesy Americana thing that always make me wanna grab my tele. Y'alls jam at Bret Papa's was great stuff (and the Oz Noy thing too, damn!), but I can't wait to hear what two masters of melodic playing lay down at the record.
