Luke empathises with Bella, who's preparing to tell Murray how she gave free drinks away. With Murray looking forward to his fishing trip, Luke decides it's best for both parties if Bella's mistake goes unreported and he persuades Bella to keep the secret. Determined to help rebuild Bellas self confidence, Lukes pleased when she gets a boost making good coffee. Convinced he's helping, Luke tricks Bella into thinking she's solved a problem with the beer tap. Bella's hurt when she discovers the ruse and she shuts Luke out, insisting she'll do better without his fake help.
Although he likes Angel, Evan's tiring of his questions, and he lumps Jasmine and Angel together to get space. But their conversation is awkward and when Ula arrives at Sugar, a worried Jasmine ropes her in to help. Ula soon dominates conversation, and Jasmine feels sidelined. Jasmine complains, and Ula wonders if she's jealous. Jasmine denies this, but later, when Angel thanks her for spending time with him, she realises she does like him. Having foolishly given up any claim to Angel, Jasmine's crushed when Ula asks him out.
Still hoping for romance, Daniel's disappointed when an opportunity to work alone with Lana is intruded on by Josh. However, Daniel's soon buoyed when Josh and Lana get his shoe sales off to a strong start. He's positive Josh's investment will pay dividends soon, but is thrown to discover the shoes from Spain are all a bright, garish orange colour. Lana and Paige bolster there's been a mistake at the factory, but Daniel's heart sinks to realise the error is all his. He's convinced the business venture has failed, but Josh refuses to give up and formulates a plan. He and Daniel decide to try and bleach the shoes. Lana lies to the staff that there has been a delay in shipping, but Vasa's left suspicious. She follows her nose, and is furious to discover Daniel and Josh carrying out their bleaching antics in an exam room. Daniel's disheartened to realise his slip-up has landed his friends in serious trouble and he's worried when Vasa warns him he's blown his last chance.
