That Bluetooth monitoring app that Ionic has is a HUGE selling point, in my estimation.

I just made the switch as well. I love them. I have 3 of the 50amp for my 36volt Ghost and the 125amp for the cranking battery and graphs. Thanks for sharing your info.

How well are the 50 ah treating you ? 🤔 do they last a full 8-10hour day no problem

@@FranklinHicks-qs4gs yes. For sure. Have 3 of the 50 Amps going to the Ghost Trolling Motor for 36Volt setup. I can fish all day , high winds , Hydrilla etc and never have gone below 65% Could fish two whole days without charging if had to. I highly recommend them.

I'm running 3 on my 112, but thought about pulling one and running it on my hobie with the motorguide 12 volt trolling motor! I'm guess one of them should hold up as good as 3.

I have a Motorguide 24V 71lbs thrust trolling motor. Would I need two 50ah lithium and if so, how would I connect both in series?
@SteveSRandomStuff
@SteveSRandomStuff Жыл бұрын
Yes. You need 2 12v 50ah batteries. Just google 24v TM wiring.

Nicely done. I have a Minn Kota 24 volt trolling motor. I want to buy two Litiium batteries to power it. I will wire them in series (current setup with Loaded cell batteries). The trolling motor powers a 20-foot fishing pontoon boat. I doubt I will ever use the trolling motor.... continually for more than 6 hours in any given day. Usually always short fishing days. Fair weather fishing, not fighting wind. Will two (2) 50aH, Lithium batteries, wired in series be enough for my needs?

I'm thinking about just getting the 100 amp hr..Rather know that worry..Plus you can use them for solar or lights in a power outage.

So do you think spending the extra money for 2 100ah batteries would be overkill?
@SteveSRandomStuff
@SteveSRandomStuff Жыл бұрын
That depends on where you fish. I mostly fish on reservoirs so that would be overkill. If you fish a lot of tidal waters or rivers you may want to consider the upgrade. I’ve been on the California Delta and only used 40% for a full day with a strong tide.

When you said it lasted for multiple days, do you constantly running your trolling motor or periodic use?
@SteveSRandomStuff

Intermittent use.

Are you able to leave these batteries on the charger all the time?
@SteveSRandomStuff
@SteveSRandomStuff 2 жыл бұрын
I always unplug them after they finish charging. Generally not longer than overnight, but I don't think it would hurt them to leave plugged in. Once they are 100% charged, the input shuts off.

I have a 24V fortrex on a 196 champion...so you think 2 50ah lithiums would last for one day? Anything over 1 day is a bonus that I don't need. Trying to figure if I need 100ah?

I have a small bass tracker with a 45 lb thrust 12v trolling motor. Do you think one 50ah 12v battery would run my motor for 4 or 5 hours?
@SteveSRandomStuff
@SteveSRandomStuff 2 жыл бұрын
I would think so. The lithium battery would out perform a single lead acid battery and not loose power through the day.

@@SteveSRandomStuff thanks. I don’t know much about amp hours but for a small 12v it should do the trick. And it’s nice that they are light weight.

@@ScottieBMan I haven’t tried one yet. My old lead acid is still going strong at the moment. I do think I will get the 100ah when I get one though. Just in case I ever need that extra run time.

So do you think 50 ah batts would last in current and wind all day . Let’s say a tidal river or your fishing below the tennesse damn on pickwick in the fast current for 8 hours?
@SteveSRandomStuff
@SteveSRandomStuff 3 жыл бұрын
Hard to say since I don’t fish those areas. However, I do fish the California Delta in the current and wind and never had any problems.

I have one 12V 50Ah battery for my feelfree lure 11.5 kayak and it's fine for me. I only use the motor to get to a fishing spot and I use the peddle and paddle to move around. Use the motor to go to another spot and finally, back the the launch ramp. I have plenty of juice left...

Nope, I just had to end my day short on the Delta because my two 50ah batteries went dead after 5-6 hours of pushing through the wind, current, and vegetation, 19 ft bass boat 24v Fortrex. Went ahead and purchased 2 100ah batteries.

@@cooper2220 I'm considering a fish finder, too! I use an app on my phone and after a year of subscription payments, I find myself rarely using it as I'm familiar with the 3 lakes I fish. I am considering exploring more lakes outside my area when I retire in November. That's the plan, if there is one!
