My favorite sweater style is the V-neck, collared one, like your striped version. We call these Polo-neck sweaters in the US, but I know the usage is different in the UK. I’m petite, very short-waisted and have a naturally fuller bust, so these are the most flattering style on me and they don’t ride up and choke me with a a jacket or coat over them, as round-necks do (the weight of the jacket or coat pulls the back down, so the front pulls up). I love the petite cashmere ones from Banana Republic, they’re perfect for me, if a bit thick for my mild California climate. It’s going to be 65-70F here, San Francisco, this week! We should get some cashmere weather soon, I can’t wait.

My daily look is jeans, turtleneck sweater, navy quilted jacket or long camel coat and boots or loafers. Just love the look and comfy level. I do wear a black wool maxi pencil skirt with boots loose cozy sweater and black jacket in winter and love that look too. Love your video content, you cover all the bases👍..Liz

I think it demonstrates how creative you can be with a smaller number of items in your wardrobe. As a chronic over buyer I’m trying to look first in my wardrobe before buying. I would probably swap out the bootcut jeans for wide leg ankle grazer jeans. 😊❤

I love all your capsule items for winter. The thick soft sweater you have on is to die for! One winter staple that I cannot do without is a black leather jacket. I have 3 different ones, a black scuba leather jacket for cooler autumn days, a black double-breasted blazer for warmer winter days, and a thick black leather jacket with a fur trimmed hoodie for absolute frigid weather.

I loved all the outfits, although I would choose non-wool/cashmere, as it ALL irritates my skin. Wearing a t-shirt makes no difference. Even wool coats are tricky - I'm obviously super sensitive 😂

Love the red. Though I'm actually tall, with long legs I have a short body. I'm super curvy bust so shy away from buttoned shirts. The correct size shirt the buttons almost always gape. Buying the next size up it doesn't fit right and the buttons somehow still gape! 🤣🤨

I love 7 for all Mankind jeans. Not high rise, that pushes my muffin tops up, Scarosso chelsea boots and ballerinas and Sezane knitwear. All in neutral colours, blue grey and beiges. You can not go wrong with this Tschau Petra

Hi Deidre, Thank you - this was lovely. I especially liked the elevated styles shown with the red shoes and co-ordinating scarf, and the modern classics with the beautiful chocolate brown skirt. I think I'll be watching this video on repeat for style guidance! Could you say whether all of the Vivaia shoes have the supportive arches and cushioned soles, and do you find the uppers material breathable? (Personally, I always think that a beautiful cat is a very classy accessory ...!). xx

I NEED these videos..as I have so many good quality clothes but don’t know how to style them, as I don’t wear black or grey or tan or camel. I LOVE navy and brown and have good wool pants and I just bought a full length AKRIS green coat… I do have cream and white blouses, navy and burgundy…and silk blend light navy sweaters and have a few in the brown colours. I really think that brown has been the "forgotten" neutral! I would pair t with cream, vanilla, buttercream, black (yes, it does work well!), even pale pink, depending if that suits you. XX

Could I ask about sizing for the shoes please, are they true to size or as some places say size up while others say size down…so confusing. I have measured as per the site but the size they suggest is larger than what I normally wear (I’m a 35 only being a 36 in the odd brand) the brand is pricy and if as comfortable as declared they would based on cost per wear be good in the long run, but when it’s not possible to try on the shoes as we can in a typical shoe shop…. So any advice from anyone has purchased this brand of shoes would be so appreciated

I tried, but boot cut jeans are not flattering on my petite/rectangle body type 🤷🏽‍♀️. I’ve purchased different brands, Marks and Spencer and White House Black Market, and had to return both pair. For some reason, they hang off me (I have no hips), and the excess fabric in the crouch area bunches up when I sit down 🤦🏽‍♀️. I’m going to stick with straight and slim jeans. However, all your jeans look great on you. 👍🏽

Oh Deirdre, thank you for the Vivaia discounts… I watched a couple months back and used your discount when I ordered several pair and they are sooooo comfortable. I have the Margot walkers in tan and black and the Ryan pro ankle boot in espresso… best shoe purchases ever. A red pair are next. Thanks! As for my capsule wardrobe for winter in Florida… dark wash jeans, black knit pants, several blouses in white or blue, a thin black Marino wool sweater and a tan blazer. I’m in central Florida so we do get chilly days and nights. These items also work for when I travel. The scarf with the red shoes are Devine … every woman must own a pair of red shoes.
