You guys need to find the 1:1 ratio for the transmission and dyno the car rather then just mashing the pedal. Dyno’s should be done in the 1:1 gear.

The 4cyl and 6 cyl honestly might become legend jdm engines people fail to realize what these engines are and how well they will perform when done right high compression already but have some reinforced engine components

My dad just bought a 2021 TRD Camry. Looks exactly like this car. I truly thought there was a TRD Supercharger bolt in kit for the 3.5 V6?? But I been pretty hard pressed to find anything remotely close to that. My dad and me are interested in making the car a lot quicker because it’s obvious the platform is way capable of handling much more horsepower. Would the tune with a programmer and TRD Intake give much of a difference?? Or would we have to explore forced induction only to get any notable gains?? He wants it to be 360-400 ideally without sacrificing the sound or comfort. Is that even possible??? Let me know! We’re located in Collin county

I got an 2009 Camry and love the look of the new ones. I did not get a new one because of the lack of HP and TQ. Instead, I got a Q50 RS. I wrote in to Toyota Corp and expressed my concerns with the brand. I felt that both the Camry and Avalon needed a performance boost to stay ahead of upcoming competition. During this time, Kia and Hyundai were really starting to push. My vision came from the TRD Camry sleeper. Toyota did listen to me, but the performance was not what I expected. The TRD versions of the Camry, Avalon or even Corolla should have the most power and be the fastest. Making it the same as the XSE and XLE made no sense. Neither did 301HP/267TQ . I understand these are considered reliable family sedans and could not expect too much at one time. One of the reasons Toyota didn't really add too much is because they don't want to surpass the Lexus brand which can also use a performance boost. Some people are like well get a Lexus or just get a faster car. No, they're missing the point. I love the Camry. I love Toyota. So please write in and voice your opinions to them because they do listen a little. I am still trying to push to get the Camry supercharger back on the market here in the USA. When they put out a better stock product, I might get one in the future. Still a nice car though.

Those numbers are at the wheels? When he stepped on it, it shot up there quick. From the video I saw 305.8 HP and 260.2 TQ. IF those are wheel numbers out of a 3.5L V6, that's completely outstanding.

@@victorcortes17 completely bananas. The torque number indicates efficiency. Back 20 years ago someone would be happy with 320 wtq out of a 5.0 mustang. Which is 30% more engine displacement for 19% only more torque. Your going thru an automatic too. The torque number i gave was thru a stick. An automatic 5.0 was getting around 300 rwtq, so that's 30% more displacement for only 13% more torque.

Camry's feel so dorky to drive compared to the Avalon. Feels just like my grandmas 2000 Camry LE. Test drove them back to back and bought the Avalon TRD. The TRD tips and wheels look way better clean. Cool Camry, but why put all these mods on if you aren't ever detailing the car?

If you get headers you would need to get the tune, I wouldn’t recommend the Weapon R headers since mine already cracked. I would go with another brand. I believe D3 is making some

Kinda late to reply but that’s a 66% increase in power. No car on earth can reliably handle that percentage of increase in power bone stock. At most the engine can handle about 450 hp and the transmission at 400, personally wouldn’t push it over 375 hp stock.

@@wabbasshahid9467 yeah man of course. I kinda realized this as well, having a fast car built or bought will cost hella money and put more stress on maintenance/reliabilty issues. Especially true when building a Camry. The v6 Camry we got are already beating stock challenger Rt’s, throw in a tune/intake it’s beating Subaru sti’s. Seen both happen here on KZbin. Not to bad for an every day daily that’ll last hundreds of thousands of miles. I’d say get the tune/intake, something to make the car sound nice(exhaust, res delete etc), some cosmetic mods to make it more comfortable to drive and stop it there. Perfect daily

From the looks of the dyno graph, it seems the aftermarket tune and loses a lot of low end power and torque vs stock. For a car that doesn't make much top end, I would think you'd want as much low end as possible.

I agree no torque=no go especially low end and mid range which is what for the street I have an TRD but low on torque. My goal get torque up to 300 ft lbs of torque to wheels or more than car will come alive and be very fast
