I remember watching this when it came out, as a novice grappler. I made it a goal to learn and hit every sweep on the list. With the exception of two or three, I can tell you 7 years later that I accomplished the goal. I still look at it time to time to rekindle a memory, or just realize how far I've come- and how far I've yet to go. Thanks.

Hello Jason, my name is Marcelo, i was a jiu jitsu practioneer at Carloson Gracie academy in Copacabana back in the 80', and also trainned with the Great Master De La Riva there in Copacabana also, on that time only six or seven people trainning, can you imagine? I can tell you that you are one of the highest level jiu jitsu fighters i ever saw, light, eficient and using perfectely the levers. I please very much for this uncredible video

As I have benefitted greatly from this I will do a quick numbered list of the techniques. Might do the same for the other videos as well. I only counted 50 techniques but it's possible the 51st could be found in the two "angles" detailed in the Reverse DLR section. Big ups to Jason Scully for putting out these videos, I really vibe with them and have a special approach to learning from them. 1:Hip Bump(Kimura)Sweep 2:Gi Pendulum 3:NoGi Pendulum 4:Scissor v. wide base 5:scissor 6:lumberjack 7:waiter 8:star 9:hammer sickle 10:hammer sickle alt. 11:Ankle Pick 12:Butterfly 13:Butterfly to rollback when opp. posts out 14:butterfly fold 15:punch sweep 16:Double shin from sitting 17:single shin from sitting 18:arm feed shin to leg sweep 19:shin to leg farside sleeve and lapel sweep 20:shin to leg standup w/ single leg TD 21:feed belt through to standup TD 22:shin to leg spin under to double leg TD 23:DLR farside sleeve sweep 24:DLR nearside sleeve push pull sweep 25:DLR back attack 26:berimbolo 27:berimbolo w/ lasso 28:DLRX farside sleeve arm cross sweep 29:DLRX nearside sleeve push pull rollback 30: DLRX farside sleeve and collar tip sweep 31:RDLR spin under back attack v. standing opp. 32: RDLR spin under regular sweep 33:RDLR shin sweep 34:RDLR to Z with collar sweep 35:X off balancing sweep 36:X to stand up sweep 37:X lower to ankles sweep v. squat defense 38:X switch hooks to extend far leg and tip forward 39:X switch hooks to extend far leg then back take v. opp. posts out 40:X kneebar fake 41:X farside sleeve collar grip tip sweep 42: SLX extend legs to situp 43: SLX to shin sweep 44: SLX tip legs (hooks change) 45: 50-50 spin thru 46: 50-50 half guard weep 47: spider guard leg pass 48: spider guard scissor 49: lasso spider leg pass 50: lasso spider grip switch side roll

This "such and such in 7 minutes" style of videos are great. Thanks for taking the time to compile them. Sometimes grapplers forget that there's a wide option of things for situations. We need to be reminded of the options sometimes to keep them fresh in our brains. You're awesome man.

Thanks to this video, got a sick x guard sweep today while rolling. Was in closed guard, scissor sweep wasn’t working too well but the other guy was off balance when he stood up so I went around got my hooks around his knee, pulled his other knee and ankle forward and rolled him just like that, then got on mount. Super satisfying to hit a sweep in live rolling !

Jason this run of videos that just have the clips are SO GREAT. I'm away from my instructor right now, and these are serving as solid refreshers and reminders. Tbh i rarely see someone who actually knows whats doing.. but i must admit.. you know your stuff.. Basically everything u showed is fcking working if done at the right time at the right circumstances... not like 95% of the bjj videos.. where black belts shows stupid stuff which works only on willing opponent. You have my respect, and my gratitude for your work.

So this is the video that I used to get three separate people absolutely mystified and facinated by (and then addicted to!) BJJ. The combination of beautiful technique, butter-smooth movements, rapid-fire yet precise and well-articulated and crisp narration, variety and organization blows the mind of every single person I've shared this to. People have no idea about what you can do with your body. BJJ is at the intersection of mental and physical fluency; Jason's videos give a glimpse of that.
