If anyone has ever built a car you know just how hard what these guys did was. Beautiful build guys!
@52BuickBoi23 күн бұрын
Although if it was me having the car restored and I had the money I definitely wouldn't be having any major modifications done like chopping shaving sectioning the car like they did with this one that would just ruin the value and original nostalgic look of a 50s car unless it's something like a belair. Custom and modified restorations were more for like mid late 60s and later classic cars.

Can I say (& I know many others would back me up on this) it's like a lost opportunity to create "The Fabulous (Doc) Hudson Hornet" 😭
@dulsarakumarage78563 жыл бұрын
@mrs abe tbh sticker printing is very easy, or for a better finish they could make the stencil to paint on. I guess after they poured in soo much effort to the car, they kindda wanted to keep it like a normal car than totally cartoon-ish.

Coolest looking Hudson ever! I remember when that car was new. They were always considered an old man's car. Even when they won a lot of NASCAR races it wasn't very well known. Love the way they did it! Everybody did a chopped '49 or '50 Merc but never saw one of these. As far as the Bondo, all good paint jobs use a very thin coat to smooth out the body panels. It's probably not more than a 16th of an inch thick at most. I wish they would have shown more of the finished car though with the interior and everything. The trouble with doing these for a tv show means they have to have it "finished" in a certain period of time.

Kinda makes sense, since Hudson is an inactive marque of Chrysler (via American Motors).
@scorchedscourge22578 ай бұрын
theres probably a reason they DIDNT do that. I would know because I own a hudson. Sourcing parts for a Hudson is damn near impossible as the manufacturer, Hudson Motor Car Company, was bought by AMC not long after those Hornets rolled off the assembly line, plus idk about back then but i know now that aftermarket parts are usually made based off of demand, if theres no demand, then they wont make the parts. back to the car though, finding a 308 ci hudson straight 6 with the dual carb twin H power air cleaners AND a 4 speed hydromatic will be nearly impossible, harder than finding individual parts for those cars, atleast without having to buy another fully restored hudson and ripping THOSE parts off just to throw them into another car
