you and your team are amazing! This particular video really brought back memories…I bought a ‘67 396 cu id Chevelle SS in ‘76 as my ride in highschool. It had 12K miles on it and had been purchased in early ‘68 by a chap for his mom who literally drove it to Mass and grocery shopping. I kept it stock. When I went overseas after graduating, I sold it in mid ‘76 to a good friend of mine who lusted after it. Long story short, he STILL has it and except for some minor mods to the engine, a tranny rebuild, a body-off repaint (like you guys do) and a re-upholster (original design), it is still the car I sold to him. Every time we talk on the phone he asks me when I’m going to visit and take my car for a drive (he’s on the West Coast, I’m on the East)

Thanks! That’s awesome that you know where your car is, and that it’s been kept up over the years. We talk to a lot of people who have tried but not succeeded to find a special car they used to own. So many fall off the face of the earth or are lost to negligence.

A work of art! Truly amazing and great attention to detail. The car is crazy clean. The final result shows the team went above and beyond with their work. 💯💯💯

I was at an auto shop just the other day and saw a man working on a 1975 model car. I didn't realize you could even find parts for cars this far back. Obviously, there's a huge niche business sector of aftermarket suppliers that provide all the parts and materials for vintage car restoration. I didn't realize it was this big of a business. I'm no car expert, but it's my belief that people will restore some vintage car they have an emotional attachment to, especially as we move into this new age of electric vehicles. I believe the vintage car restoration business will see an uptick in business over the next 5 years. Why? People will always be enamored with the exceptional power and noise that conventional internal combustion engines provide. Plus these vintage cars had some personality and aesthetics to them.

While your just wishing take out the spark plugs and fill it with Diesel , or tranny fluid while it sits. Then when you have a notion to go and do something with it , It will be much closer to be able to turn it over than let it freeze up from rust.

7:35 I assume that the original 66 Chevelle had 4 gears, but the newly installed transmission has 5 gears? In any case, thanks for restoring the 66 Chevelle! It looks amazing and fantastic!

Spectacular overall job and execution of a design. Steamrollers are not my cup of tea, but otherwise love every inch. Silver is a nice color choice. One tiny detail, that would have been cool, is console 4 speed shift plate custom updated to match the Tremec 6 speed. Curious how this actually drives, over modern roads. Would love to go canyon carving along Blueridge Parkway, for a few hours. Thanks for sharing. JT

For Those That Dont Know ... Chevelle was a base model car, that you could order upgrades to.... The Chevrolet Malibu is a mid-size car manufactured and marketed by Chevrolet from 1964 to 1983 and again since 1997. The Malibu began as a trim-level of the Chevrolet Chevelle, becoming its own model line in 1978. SO if you Find a Malibu it is an Upgraded Chevelle until 1978 and for the most part Worth more than just a Chevelle.... Kind of like a 55 chevy 210 and the 55 chevy 2 door hardtop big price difference between the 2.

Thanks! All of the cars we build / restore are for clients. Generally, with all of the parts and labor investment you have to put in, you can't fully build or restore a car and then sell it at a profit (unless you're doing the work yourself and aren't paying yourself).
