With the loader and ballast in the tires this tractor weighs over 8,000lbs. I haven’t found anything on the market that is even close (certainly not at this price point), unless you move up to a different class. I also like the all metal fenders and hood. It is a no frills tractor built for heavy work.

Just bought a 5145. I have 45 acres of heavy woods. I have used this tractor to push over small trees. Box blade work around my pond. Move dirt and push heavy downed trees. No problems at all. This tractor is a monster.

I have had my 5145 since April of 2022. I have had no problems with it. To be honest, I think I made a great choice in buying it.

I have a 5145 and have only added a 3rd function valve for my grapple which is a Monster. I’ve bush hogged a lot of brush, hauled 100’s of tons of debris and also just got done planting 20 acres of hay with a Great Plains seeder that asked for a minimum 55hp tractor and my 5145 pulled it like a boss in mid range 3rd gear. Nothing but happy with it so far. Sitting at 180 hrs. Only thing I don’t like is how WEAK it becomes in high range. 4th gear high range you better be level ground or you will lose rpms…. Acts better when warmed up but still…..

I'm considering the 5145, is it worth it to get the 5145 rather than the 4540? And how are they compared to the John Deere, Kubota, or the Massey? I'm old school been on tractors since I was 6 and I have never been on a Mahindra
