On Saturday, August 17, 2024, riders will tackle the grueling ascent to the summit of Mt. Washington in the Mt. Washington Auto Road Bicycle Hillclimb (MWARBH), often regarded as "the toughest hillclimb in the U.S., if not the world." This challenging race pushes cyclists to their limits as they face steep inclines and unpredictable weather along the historic Mt. Washington Auto Road. The event, known for its unforgiving 7.6-mile course with an average grade of 12%, benefits the Tin Mountain Conservation Center, which is dedicated to promoting environmental education and sustainable practices in the White Mountains region.
