As a magician I can honestly say after seeing this, dream, and your ambitious card 100 times it never gets old. This is an ART and you have made it more than that. Idk how your mind works but what you do is the definition of Magic. 👏🏻
@marshallgears97435 жыл бұрын
Yeah, as a magician myself. He truly bring a new approach to magic. Beautiful choreograph of sleight of hand. Hes simply took basic card tricks and performed it with series of tricks using sleight of hand. He just showing off his skill and technique to the crowd not to mention, It works brilliantly with the music. Truly an artist. I guess people love skillful performer.
@KinnereyB5 жыл бұрын
@@marshallgears9743 I wouldn't exactly call 52 shades of red a routine that took old tricks... That involves the cards to be produced from nowhere apparently, then slowly banish what you created a bit at a time before changing all the backs and then all the fronts...then back again, then all gone. But that trick, notwithstanding, I agree with you. Dream is a combo of a top change mixed with a mercury card fold, using the deck as an excuse to get the card in his mouth as the smoke misdirects. It uses duplicates, etc, so I agree with you on THAT act. And honestly his ambitious card is a new, fresh way of looking at that routine and the props he decided to use. The clear cards before the omni deck was genius, changing from blue to red but one card after a deck switch, all of these concepts are the and so visual it fools all of us the first few times we watch it! Dyanmo said of Shin Lim "His magic os sp spectacularly visual that it looks like CGI special effects, Lennerts Green called him "A master of deception filled with poetry in every movement." Pretty high praise. And Penn says of Dream that "It's his all time fav act on Fool Us." I thanked him personally and unbelievably his mom responded personally! She said get hets 1--texts/messages per minute! So I'm gonna print and frame it!

I admire many magicians, D.Blaine especially for taking way further than magic. However, Shin is the only one that has ever made me feel as if the magic is there, and then we get a real person, just like us, back right after the act. I know I'm not expressing myself correctly, but most magicians try to have an 'act' all the time. And because Shin doesn't do this, he actually touches the heart. Something I've never experienced before, and perhaps the most magical thing he does.

I've watched this performance dozens and dozens of times now and I still ball my eyes out during it. It's so flawless and to hear the cheering by that audience is nothing like other magician acts. This act single-handedly changed the world in many different ways that aren't even attached to magic, to begin with. Magic is all over television and movies now, integrated into tv shows as character traits and a hobby that isn't as "dorky" as it used to be. This is based on me thinking that you are the reason this has happened, period. Even if you don't follow magic your name is known by people. Like how everyone knows who Michael Jordan is. Magic doesn't evolve without your name in the mix, along with many others currently but, we're here talking up Shinny at the moment. Brilliant skills coming from someone that watches so much content it's kind of gross. Think Abed, from Community, that much content. The End.

WOW!!! What else can be uttered after that presentation?? Dear Shin Lim, you are my absolute FAVORITE close up card magician, card mechanic and mind blower working today, and that says alot as you have taken the place of Dynamo, the unbelievable David blaine who brought close up card magic into the public eye again when it was somewhat hibernated at the time and his televised Street Magic blew minds and eyes and gave young and old that sense of wonder again, and the classic great Teller who Penn admits is the greatest close up card magician working today. So as you see, I have a very deep love, passion, and utter respect toward these men... So when I say you are my favorite close up card magician working today, that is the greatest complement and heart felt respect I can give... You are in the shoes of all the greats from I'm sure have created such magic from before the time of the pharaohs. Thank you so much Shin Lim for Blowing My Mind Out Of My Head, as usual haha!!
