Magicians can REALLY be something else! Some of what they do borders on impossible, or MIRACULOUS, in other words, REAL MAGIC. Either the 6 of spades was planted before the trick, or it teleported into the pocket. I'm pretty sure it was planted but that can't explain everything else Shin did with the deck! That was awesome. I went to a company Christmas party with maybe 100 people, and they hired some regular, young magician that definitely wasn't famous, but the tricks he did blew our minds (this was in 1985). I sat pretty close and was blown away but the magician picked my friend out of the audience and I know for a FACT that he was no plant! The magician did a trick where he broke eggs into my friends suit jacket pocket (we watched the eggs drip out of their shells) , threw in some cake batter, poured milk into his pocket and stirred it with a whisk and proceeded to let it "bake" with a flashlight, and took a perfect little cake with frosting out of that pocket. My friend stood on stage feeling for a mess in his pocket, which wasn't there and stared at the magician in total disbelief. He could barely even speak when he came back to sit with us (cake in hand. We actually ate it). He was stunned and flabbergasted for the rest of the night! I sat pretty close and couldn't BEGIN to detect how that was done. That was done by a magician I'd never heard of before or since. I can't imagine the skills some of these MASTERS like shin must possess.

that six of spade was planted in the band member jacket from another deck of cards earlier before the show. He was told to pick the 6 of spades has his card of choice. Exactly what i thought. How do you explain 6 of spades in musicians pocket ? Scripted ?
@ScottLulu2 ай бұрын
He said spades after he already had the deck in his hand so it couldn’t be pre setup but the dealing 1-2-3-4 cards in each pile is insane skill…..there might be 5 people in the world who can do that if even that many

@@ScottLulu He knew it was spades because he was in on the gag. But it's all good show business. The 2nd deck is gimmicked to allow the sequential deal.

@@thedevilinthecircuit1414no nobody was in on it. Shin is just a world class magician. Obviously there is a trick to it but sometimes it’s just an insane amount of practice and being world class at something. Dealing those cards out 1,2,3,4 in piles up to 10 takes insane amount of practice and skill

The 6 with Quest was of course pre mediated just for the show ... it's stupid I know ... but it makes effect for "easy people"
@shapowlow3 ай бұрын
Yeah that part sort of took away from the moment. The whole routine was doable without a plant so it would've been more impressive without a prepared suit/card
@voltaquake3 ай бұрын
so how did he know Quest was gonna say the 6?
@shapowlow3 ай бұрын
@@voltaquake he was a plant. Quest wasn't as amazed as everyone else was he? That doesnt take away from Shin's routine. He still controlled the deck so that the spades get on top of each stack and the royal flush got under the 6 of spades. I guess the producers thought the pocket thing will look amazing but there are better ways to present the routine without a plant (e.g force 6 of spades from one of the hosts)

Yes that was a shame, it is of course impossible to put a card, chosen at random, in someone’s pocket. It is not impossible to put a card in someone’s pocket beforehand. However his second dealing and bottom dealing is brilliant and his laser deal, apart from the first card that you can see in his right hand is magnificent. The sound effects were perfect and would fool anyone close up. The one to ten dealing is very very hard to do and absolutely amazing. A truly brilliant magician, just a shame he chose an obvious fake ending.

After dropping some cards during the laser dealing, it would be impossible to have 55 cards. At 4:24 he swaps the decks off camera, notice his hands go off the table
