It's great to see the progress that you've made and what wonderful work that you've done. I've had my PA-22/20-180 project flying a couple of years now and am enjoying it very much - I've done nice work but have not been as through as you. I't's wonderful that you've turned this plane, that needed so much work, into such a wonderful piece of art. It's a great plane you'll enjoy it very much.

When I lived in Black Forest, Colorado, I worked part time for a shop that more less specialized in turning old Tri Pacers into really neat airplanes. Each one was a ground-up build coming back with conventional gear, a tailwheel and 180hp O-360 engine. The panel and avionics were whatever the customer wanted. Each one was sold before work began on it.

Very nice... I retire in 4 months and rebuilding a tri-pacer looks like the perfect project.

I owned a 54 N1639P. great little plane. It was destroyed in a crash a few months after I sold it.

I love the trim tab base plate? I guess that's what you'd call it. Never seen one in black. I may do that with mine.

Does it still use that backward bungee cord suspension in the landing gear?

Interesting that you chose to paint the firewall. I wouldn't go that way with mine, but it doesn't look bad at all.

Memories! Had a 1953 Pa22-135 N1214C . I considered it my college educated bird. 4 years complete airframe and engine rebuild at a comm. college. Sold years ago then disappeared into Canada. Registration canceled. Still looking for info asto it’s end? Dick

Nice job. I have a 57 Tri Pacer, N7750D that I want to repaint. Any information would be helpful. Fabric is all good, but just needs brightening up. Do you have a source for info or recommendations? Thanks

Helped my dad do his, which was N8118D, since he sold it it is destroyed. I just bought N7750D which is in good shape.
