Wish we knew the actual exact percentage that the encounter rate becomes with the dex recommendation in effect! Damn a total of almost 36,000 encounters is pretty tough, but 8 shinies? That's amazing man. I remember once going 24,000ish for a shiny phantump in X.... I got a klefki. Full odds can be cruel sometimes lol

Hey Absol! Congratz in these super cool shinies. Very dedicated. I'm glad you got them all before the DLC :) If it's okay, I wanted to ask your opinion on the last Pokemon news, which I personally found really upsetting. How do you feel about full Go compatibility? Since you're a die hard collector (and so am I!), I wanted to get your view on it. I personally really don't like the idea of people putting mythicals and legendaries into the main games from Go, especially since shinies are so easy to get there. Like, I remember saving a Platinum file with Darkrai's event on it from all the way back then, and I got my shiny Darkai just last year. It's been an insanely long hunt. Now, I can just put the one I got in about 2 hours from Go in. It feels really frustrating and pointless to me to keep hunting now, in a weird way. I know the hunt itself and your personal sentiment is what matters most, but I'm personally really frustrated and demotivated to keep playing at all, because hunting and collecting was the last thing I really enjoyed about SwSh (I didn't like story at all). Anyways, I just wanted to know what you think and how you feel about it? Happy Spooktober :)

I actually don't really mind all too much about it because I've always believed that Pokemon hold more personal value than objective value. Sure there might be more legit Shiny Darkrai in circulation, but I don't think the existence of a bunch of Shiny Darkrai from GO takes away from how insanely cool it is to find one in Platinum! It's kind of always been this way from my perspective since cheating devices have always existed.

I was also hunting darumaka and stonjourner i found shiny darumaka in just 319 REs with a mark when i checked it in battle i found a shiny stonjourner! I went crazy at that time. Has this ever happened with anybody u found a shiny and when u check it in battle another shiny appears

Congratulations man! If you're looking for a non shiny Hunt to do, I'd would 100% recommend mark hunting. It's a great change of pace and you get to make some really fun name combinations! I am, of course mark hunting Yampers and it's been super fun. It'd probably be more fun to do one that has every mark available though, I don't know what would.

I did a hunt for a shiny female zorua when the Isle came out. Got her in Phase 3, only about 30 encounters after I got a male zorua, and she had the Misty Mark! I didn't even have v the Mark Charm, so I feel really lucky! 'Grats on your darumaka and stonjourner!
